Li Recycling of EV and other batteries have seen start up companies as well as car Mfgs. start a recycling system as well as using battery packs with one or two bad cells be used as storage for other uses.

I would say the headlights are objectively the worst thing about the exterior visually. Also, I do think the SUV version looks better than the truck.

i like off roading SUVs more than pickups, have done both, I think the SUV looks better than the Truck, except the headlights of course.

Yeah, we are fucked no matter what we do. Something will eventually get us.

l “think” it was stress that made cancer rear its ugly head (not diet) as her job is incredibly stressful. No one really knows, it could of been a number of factors.

Like what effects the climate, natural, human caused, interstellar, orbit, wobble of the Earths axis, etc. Only thing we can kind of control is Us, which of course is like herding cats… haha!

I'm hoping Li-Cycle and other lithium battery recycling companies can upscale fast enough to catch up to growing demand

so does my RRSP , haha

I think the key word in that quote is "currently"

That’s true if u keep ur used gas car and save money. If ur in the market for a new car , or even 1-3 yr old used car then EV (Tesla) makes sense. My model 3 performance was 55 k after rebates , tax, dmv and all that . That’s a lot of money. But vs what ? A new bmw m3??? 80k. Even a new Tacoma ? 45k lol. So in comparison it’s not really that bad. I suggest u go out and see what u can buy in this day and age. New or used u will see an EV isn’t bad during these times.

What repairs ? I mean insurance will pay to fix damage . Also if under warranty things are free. I just have to wait a while. Also ev less parts.

Just have to figure out if the overall cost of ownership is worth it or not. Right now EVs are little higher, sure it will get closer as time marches on.

Ford Lightning is looking good, could be cheaper than a Tacoma with the rebate.

I think what you think, about what Dr. Anderson thinks is irrelevant…

    I think.

No doubt it’s expensive. And ur not “saving” if u have to spend 35-120k on a Tesla plus solar panels (like me). It will take decade to see savings, true. But, this is assuming u keep ur current car , and or don’t mind driving cheap / slow cars plus doing all the garage work ur self. Yes u save more by doing that.

But if you want any new gas car in 2022 then even a RAV4 or Corolla would start to be the same as the base 35k Tesla (after rebates and gas savings). So that’s kind of dumb to walk into a dealer , get a Corolla , then drive off slow as shit , less safe , plus need Toyota care maintenance and weekly stops at the gas station when u can get that dumb iPhone on wheels for a little more.

keep ur used car? …. Good idea, Ev is too much money.

In the market for ANY new car ? Tesla is best

Copies quote about how bad Lithium recycling is, shows a picture of kids recycling the lead battery out of ICE cars.

    Brilliant [slow clap]
