Agreed. The PB crew is entertaining, but the Bike Mag team reviews were just more betterer. Even without the PB shenanigans, impossible climb/huck to flat.

Welcome to the Party in the Woods!

I have a bunch of spare Transition stickers if your ride didn't come with any and you want some.

Speaking of broken ribs, hit a local jump line on monday and had a good scorpion just before the last jump with the full weight of the bike still attached to my feet.
Definitely won't be hitting a DJ jump line like that again with clips :anonymous:
Went home and immediately bought a set of flats for that kind of riding

I ride clips for XC, but I def run flats if I know I'll be aerial or on chunky DH. Def gives me a confidence I can separate myself from the bike if need be.

Yea I'll be switching back and forth depending on the kind of riding I'll be doing, but it's gonna take some getting used to with riding flats again being airborne and not feeling like I'm only 1/2 connected to the bike.

Appreciate it! I’m stoked! The Spire was the bike I wanted from the time Transition announced it. The shop was willing to swap over the GX drivetrain from a carbon they had, but I waited too long to pull the trigger and that bike sold. All good, XT it is. The brushed raw aluminum in person with the Kashima is amazing to look at (added bonus). Pictures don’t do it justice.

Need to beef up the rack set up bit more before can really get after it in the rough...but perfect for getting bike out on the road and cruising in the dirt.

Was thinking about doing a rack shoot out with a Walmart bike on the back charging 2-3ft whoop :bikewhoops: haha

Just went a little too deep on the 3rd jump landing and preloaded the fork yeeting me otb. Was able to veer off just enough to not send me into the takeoff of the next one lol

Definitely pertinent information i had not known! I also dont really care much to compare geometry from bike to bike or really dive into the whole geometry gamut of mountain bikes so i cant tell you what is new geometry vs. old geometry. Whatever feels comfortable in the travel range im looking, ill buy and ride like hell. Im just stubborn on that aspect though.

For reference and maybe to to gain some insight to new vs old geo. What makes the Polygon bikes "old geometry" vs. a 2021 bike coming out right now of comparable travel say for the T7 frame?. To the eye, they look like modern frames to me. Other than being longer and slacker than old geometry, they look new to me.

That Transition is GORGEOUS! Last summer when I went to Colorado I fell in love with the brushed aluminum Commencals I saw people riding out there.

I spy the "Kashima" Fox decal colorway on the fork... just yesterday I was trying to pick a decal kit for my green Pivot Switchblade that's coming in ~January-March and that's one of three colors that I flip-flopped between about 20 times. That photo makes me wonder if I should have chosen it instead of Stealth Black :annoyed:
