Travir, if you do a headache rack, make accommodation to use your rear window for long stuff. I never thought I’d use that window as much as I do. …And the Lund, if you compare to others, is considerably more versatile.

I like it but I've already got the headache rack ready to weld and the materials for the back cradle. I'm inclined to stick with the simple plan and just make a rear cradle to work with the headache rack because then the bed extender isn't necessary anyway.
And this truck doesn't have a rear slider...

I wish I had taken the time to learn welding when I was young. I do not have many regrets in life, but welding is one of them. Hopefully I will get to a small project today, fixing a noisy bathroom exhaust fan.

Smoking a Tri-Tip for dinner tonight.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch World! I could take a picture of the fence. The world stops after that. Looks like a day to mess around with stuff around here. I have a LIST and I will use it.
Cannot believe I am having such a hard time spending money with the fireplace insert folks. I have been bugging him daily for over a week for my quote with calls and emails. It's not like I can go elsewhere either, but my patience does wear.....

Ha! I don't weld... I daub mud. I blame it on my welder...

I don't smoke anything, either. (well, nothing I will admit to)

Busy day (at my pace!). Actually had to redo those climate control lights AGAIN! Enough to see them light, but you can't tell until dark what you get. So, the headlight with condensation gets the attention next.

I can get that grille off pretty quick!

There is a upside to this bumper, here is the headlight mystery bolt!! Right on top.

Ha! Solar headlight drying system. Now, you can say you have seen it for yourself!!!

    :rimshot:
And the climate lights? Well, since one of the brand new halogens lasted two days parked, I tried the new LED. And marked them of course!

    20211202_181009.jpg

I'll keep the LED for now! See ya' in the morning.

Thankfully, I have a son-in-law who welds, and jumps at the chance to help out. Recently fixed a guide roller on my winch, where the steel cable had worn a groove through. Was a blessing, can't get replacement parts. Thanks also for the reminder to fix our upstairs bath fan.

The Tri-Tip came out just right. I have to tell you it is a flavorful cut of beef.

Going out to lunch with my cousin ad wife today. Her husband, my regular lunch partner, fell on Thanksgiving Day and fractured his pelvis and a thumb. He went into rehab on Tuesday. This evening we are going to do a drive through at our county regional park to look at the Christmas lights.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch folk! That tri-tip DOES look good Tom! Have to try and find one.

Looks like I just pick up where I left off yesterday. Drop off the truck, get the gennie wheels on, seal the headlight, and such. Should be a nice start to the weekend! Going to try wood fired pizzas tomorrow! Have a good one.

Oh, I email shamed the guy at the fireplace enough that he actually responded with an attached quote! Order it up today.

Doesn't come with a drive axle, but it's mobile!

Yeah, guess I'll get a battery next trip....

Boy Howdy, I want this other stuff out of my garage! It's moving after Christmas, one way or another. Made up my mind!

it has a 70 dB rating. I had a free app on the phone, but got rid of it. I will try to remember when all takes place. (remember, I do stuff slow!)
