Time to order some hi-lift jack mounts for the bed. A little weight means a little drop. Probs go away. Lol. Worked for me!

Stressed for days figuring out how to measure the angles, do the math and then source steel shims over aluminum. Experimented with a load in bed and fixed it

do you offroad in dusty environments? if so, does the moly chain lube attract dust? i used moly chain lube for moto back in the day & remember it as being sticky.

yeah It took me a while and following a few guides to figure out angles and realized It was pretty darn close with the carrier bearing drop so I was happy with it.

The driveshaft is obviously allowed to have some play at the carrier bearing since it has that thick soft bushing there. I wonder how much is acceptable. I stuck a gopro under my truck and pointed it at the carrier bearing and here is what it looks like. This is the shudder that I'm feeling at take-off. I'll put the carrier drop shim whenever it comes and I'll do a similar video.

Since having my roof top tent on my truck, it barely does the shutter. If/when I take it off Ill prob put the drop on as well to get rid of it.

Probably not the best thing nor the worst. I would just imagine premature wear to the carrier bearing. Am I overly concerned about my truck? Naw.

Carrier bearing drop installed, still getting a shudder but I think it's a little better. What do you guys think?

    Great vid!

If you're still feeling it, you could try loading some weight in the bed to compress the suspension and try again? That seems like a lot, but I don't have anything to really compare it to.

I guess the other takeaway would be that it is only a short term issue, on take off. Looks (and likely feels) smooth at speed.

Curious what your camera set up is? Certainly not a suction cup. I've been hedging on an action cam for a long time.

That's a bit of work. Hopefully it sorts it our for you.

Thanks! Nice setup. That mag base seems very secure. Do you use it with the DMM also?

Nice hint of orange in the background. Been dreaming of a plated enduro for a while now. Too long actually.

Yeah I use it to hold my phone. DMM is great, I went overboard and put 4 ram balls on it. I only ever use two at a time haha. Usually gopro and the phone.

Orange is my KTM 690 Enduro. It's so much fun! I also have two other bikes.

I have three balls on it (plus one on the BirdDawgIndustries mirror riser) and only use two myself. The one time that my wife asked for the spare X-Grip, I left it at home.

Nice! The 690s are killer. I had two bikes before the Taco and really miss having the choice in rides.

I'm never going to give up my bike for as long as I can ride! My daily driver is actually a 15 HP Chinese bike lol.

    Yeah!

I'm right there with you. I gave up my very unreliable, 40hp Ural for the Taco.

@tonered are you on option 2 with your carrier bearing drop? What other suspension mods do you have?

It looks better than without the spacer kit. Like I said, since having a RTT on with my shell on option 3, I barely feel it. When I unload the tent it will get worse again. Like I said I don't think it is too concerning, I mean think about everyone railing their trucks offroad mashing the pedal in loose dirt. I would like to see a gopro watch the carrier bearing during that and see what it is doing. Mine is exactly like yours, the brief vibration on acceleration
