    So was mine until today. Was fast running 35s from 12psi back to 40psi too.
    I'll get it figured out one way or the other...but I'm agitated for sure.
    At least it didn't happen on the trial I guess.

    Did you have the amperage adjusted on the SPOD for the compressor? Not sure if your capable of doing that on them. I’m a switchpro kinda guy myself :D
    Yea I would first check power to the switch, to the compressor, and to the pressure switch. Then check all remaining bolts to see if maybe something popped loose. Then from there just check motors for obvious failure/burns. Check if motors smell toasted as well

    What's odd is that when I power up the switch it gains power and "tries" to run normally. In the off position, it runs like 1/2 or less power.

    I apologize, my reply wasn't helpful. Harrop makes an e-locker. Electronic. It's been awhile since I researched them but believe it's a magnet that engages the drive gear. When I first looked for my 3rd gen they weren't available but they are now.
    I went entirely different direction for off road toy instead. Spent a lot more money too:anonymous:

    How is it wired? It sounds like you have a wiring problem as well. Even if a pressure switch fails, if it’s wired correctly you shouldn’t have what you’re experiencing.
    But some compressor manufacturers do give you shit wiring diagrams due to the expense of wiring thing correctly, no idea if ARB is in that category or not. On a side note, I’ve never understood the popularity of this particular compressor, it really is crap compared to alternatives except the size and ease of install.

    Reserected from the dead.
    Did your pressure relief valve freeze closed? If there was water present, it would not allow the valve to relieve the excess pressure from the frioze pressure switch.

    Temps near or at freezing temps create wired issues with pnumatics when it comes to mechanical items.

    pressure switch should cut power before the pressure release valve kicks in. Plus there is no tank on this type of compressor, so probably no pressure release valve that could get frozen. Pressure switch is to protect compressor, pressure valve is to protect tank.

    It was almost 40 degrees today.
    But this is Michigan, so moisture and freeze-thaw are a fact of life. It taxes the hell out of just about anything mechanical and/or electrical.

    It's odd as in; More issues than once, all at once, related, or systemic from the failure itself.
    It's popular because of its compact size and ease of install.
    I agree that ARB seems to have let its quality slide over the years...

    it might not be more than one issue. Let’s say you have a wiring problem, and the compressor runs 1/2 power in the off position. You may only just have noticed that, it could have been running 1/2 power for the last year or so every time you start the vehicle. That would certainly explain the failure. I’m not saying that is the cause, only that the two might be very related.
