Did you have the front bumper painted at a body shop or did you do that yourself? You pulled it off, I assume? If body shop painted it, what was the cost?

I kind of want to paint mine to make it look a little less welfare (same utility truck as yours) but I've gotten super lazy after pulling the bumper off like three times in one day to install my hidden winch. I'm not sure the plastic nuts have a lot of life left in them! I also don't want to scratch it up on brush and reveal the black underneath, cause I will absolutely scratch it up. Yours looks good.

That’s a great area, only 45 minutes from my house.

I know this has probably been discussed before--anyone have a suggestion to get/install keyless entry only--not remote start--on an SR?

I have a good story about having to run to Nederland for a battery...but that was almost 15 years ago. I feel old.

Everything done to the truck was all DIY garage projects. Actually just kept the bumper on and masked the crap out of everything else. I kept it unpainted for the first two years I had it. For me, paint matching it made a big difference and I’m happy with how it turned out!

That area has gotten a lot more crowded in the last 15 years.

Took my truck to the dealership to get my last free oil change this morning. I looked under the truck when I got home and oil was everywhere. Looks like they drained the oil filter onto the skid plate instead of through the door on my RCI skid plate.

This is why I do my own maintenance but brought in anyway to get the free change.

At the dealership now having them clean it up and make sure no oil is leaking out of the plug or filter.

They won't see me again unless waranty work is required.

Can't even trust them to change the oil.

The counter guy came out and said nothing was leaking, just a sloppy oil change. He said they lowered the skid plate and cleaned the mess but now I have to get under the truck and make sure the skids are tight and on correctly.

welcome to 2021. I’m sure they can’t get someone to change oil worth a damn cause everyone thinks they deserve $20 an hour no matter their experience level.

Same. Last "free" oil change. They busted the little grey drain plug on the passenger's side frame. Toyota is notorious for this kind of crap. I dread going there. So from now on I'll be pulling my own maintenance. I probably should have just ignored the free Toyota care and done this on my own from jump street. Had to replace that drain plug I didn't want them touching anything after seeing that.
Just the fact that were crawling around under our trucks following general maintenance down at the dealership says enough. They cant be trusted to do anything right. They just dont GAF

Did you use the tpms sensors from old wheels or 4 runner?

Took it out to test the lights last night. Still loving the SR. don't do enough stuff to need what the OR would provide and that's the only other one I'd want.
