    Hello everyone,

    Any advice would be appreciated.
Taking my truck into the dealership for a oilchange/service, and would be the last one before my 3 year factory warranty expires, at 55000km/30000 miles.

I have a small minor list i want them to remedy, but am i an idiot to think they will check everything really well, and perform any tsb,s or repairs as needed?

Is there anything i should check especially? common prob's?
I did try searching, not successful.

    Thank-you

None, factory diff lockers are great.
So you only get 30K Miles of warranty in Canada?

I have 48,000 on my '09 right now. I have had the rear-end carrier unit replaced and my heater blower motor is getting replaced this weekend. I'm wondering if I should purchase extended warranty. So far this Toyota has been worse than my Chev was i the first 50K.

well, i thought it was 3yrs or 60,000 km?

and yes, i want them to look at my heater, it's on my list, but nothing serios, or mechanical, makes me nervous, or just a lucky build.

    cheers

They will not execute any TSB's unless you have the specific complaint the TSB was created to remedy. Also, don't expect them to find the TSB...there are probably thousands amongst all model/years of Toyota cars and trucks.

It's generally a good idea to have researched TSB's ahead and checked your vehicle to see if you are having the problem. When you go in, say the exact words that's in the TSB for the problem it corrects...as exact as possible. State you know the problem is corrected under a TSB and know the number of it; it doesn't hurt to have a copy of it in hand.

But whatever you do, don't go in with a TSB covering certain model/years and/or VIN ranges and expect them to do it on yours under warranty if yours isn't in the range or model/year. It really aggravates them and is the cause of maybe 50% of the gripes about dealer not covering TSB repairs.

That's probably the bumper-bumper or comprehensive warranty...they might have a 6 year 60K mile warranty covering drive-train components.
