You can get some velcro tape on Amazon or wherever in case you need to peel it off and access the spare tire tool hole.

My SS3 max's arrived last night via UPS. These are beefy! Heavier than I was expecting, but definitely high quality pieces! Thanks @memario1214 I was planning on installing today, but got sidetracked with home improvement projects and repairs. Got them partly assembled at least. Also thanks for the stickers!!!IMG_0947.jpgIMG_0948.jpg IMG_0950.jpg

Sso recomends having a friend help you lift the bumper into place, id have to agree. Or just be determined and be able to lift and put in place your bumper and winch alone. I did that tonight but stopped now, im tired. Atill have to locate the control box for the winch still, and fab some brackets for my hidden light bar.

But, a random photo of the bumper on the ground.20211204_170709.jpg

I see that you're in San Diego. Where did you get the gears done?

Do you have any photos of your rig with the 34s? That's the same size I want to move up to once I get re-geared, too (I'm running 285 75 16s now).

You've got me beat, but I was just shy of 30 degrees a few days ago. Truck handled it no problem.

Yes it does. I removed the double face tape (tedious) that came on the light bar and used Dual Lock “Velcro” to attach it leaving enough slack in the wires so I can pop it off and set on the bumper to access the spare tire

I'm still confused by the templates. What the heck are they for? It's not like you need to align the edge protectors with the door edge. o_O

I put on a Lomax tonneau. Love it! And a bed mat and cargo bar.

Tomorrow I'll install OEM style bed lights in the back.

Just made them after posting that. Simple job but will work for the winter snow and mud. I like the ones under the truck above too! These cost me about $10.00 total but real strong to bang on but not hit getting in and out. Trucks wet snow melting off it?DSCF7925.jpg DSCF7920.jpg What do those OEM Running Boards cost? Might go that way later just today we were trying figure how to clean the boots off from snow.

OEM one like @Canadian Caber look like they’re $270-$290. I have the same set on my 2018 DCSB. Toyota says it doesn’t fit 3rd gen but it definitely does. Double cab part # PT212-35055.

Got the waterport installed. Tools back on the roof too. Moving solar to the tent in a week or two.

Well I didn't do anything to the 3rd gen today. However I did put a deposit on a 2022 army green TRD Off Road premium 4Runner for my wife this morning. The dealer thinks 3 to 4 months before she has her new ride.

I’d agree. After completing the process the templates weren’t critical. The templates were a good reference point though.

The funny thing is she has never been a fan of adding anything to her vehicles. After we left the dealership first thing she says is " do you think we can get some of those bronze rims those would look badass." I might be in trouble, at least my wallet might be.
