After passing rough field/trail test. Finally got it painted and ready to be officially mounted.

Will it be permanent attached or what are you using for it to be held on the back of the truck?

 

It bolts through the floor of the bed (it is removable). Two plates hold it in place from under. Drilling needed. We ran pretty gnarly trails the other day, that thing held up like a champ.

Looks killer! Are you planning on leaving it in the middle of the bed or offsetting it?

 

Mine sits to the right a little. This one in the pic is one I fabbed for a stock size tire. Can be bolted almost anywhere to the bed.
Once I install the eye bolt I'll put it on for sale.

 

Thats rad - If I didnt already have a swingout I would definitely consider something like this!

 

I want one but now not sure how long till i go 35s.

Did a little run in the San Jacinto mountains last Saturday with my cousin in his Jeep. We took 5S07 (Bee Canyon) from Highway 74 up to 5S09 (San Jacinto Ridge), and then took 4S21 (Indian Mountain) up to Highway 243. 4S21 is rated as a black diamond, but I'd call it a red trail at best. My Elka coilovers did great, and I got much more articulation that I expected (especially out of the rear axle). We aired back up at Highway 243, and then drove over into Idyllwild for some lunch. They were having a big holiday festival and tree lighting ceremony, so we stuck around for the evening and checked everything out. It was an excellent day, complete with great wheeling, perfect weather, and enough shopping/dining to keep the wives happy.
