Hey thank you guys - and yes i did read about the the reboot issue and the fix that they recommended (dont quote me, but it was the crimping the two wires together if I recall). Ok ordering it now…….figure I’ll install my anytime camera, front grille LED light bar, lighted visors, home link rear view mirror, hook up the heated seats I installed…….and I think that’s about it . Yup Ive been procrastinating tearing the dash apart again.

One thing I thought I noticed was that my RR2 didn’t flash while connected to car power? I had to remove it from the dash vs just plugging it in. Since I can get to it from under the head unit by removing the HVAC controls. Maybe I’ll try one more time?

Is the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX the newer version? Or a different HU?

EDIT: nvm I think I found the difference the one above is a floating display while the one mention on the thread is a flush mount

the display is an upgraded (higher resolution) display, that is floating.

Yes the only difference is the 6600 is a modular, "non-DIN" model and the 7600 is a floating, single-DIN model. The resolution on both models is the same at 1280x720.

Not that I use it.....but I assume by installing my 6600 that I will lose the ability to turn on and off the vehicle built in AT&T hotspot? I used it initially when I bought the car since it was free, but it created HORRIBLE interference. Not a huge deal, but thought I would ask.

I did not. It's definitely higher resolution, and clearer but too small. I am curious if this fix may have done this. (Split Screen Capability - you can now resize screen if Dynamic Screen Resize is available on your iPhone). I am going to adjust here to see if this resolves it.
    1. Go to Settings [IMG] > Accessibility > Display & Text Size.

I am loving this update with the ability to show the units audio display and carplay at the same time on the screen. So much more functional and useful.

I did the update but didn’t notice a resolution change nor this. I will have to look closer. Anyone with a cheat sheet / guide for the new features?

When you have the carplay screen up in the upper left corner is a icon with arrows on it. Hit it and you get dual display.

I agree. I send a mail to Pioneer at the email address in the instructions but no one has replied. It's been about a week.

I agree you should be able to change the resolution. I’ve gotten on the phone with pioneer before. I hope this solves some bugs from 1.31.

Anyone know what could be wrong? I am getting the NOK error on GPS. I used the iData adapter and think I have the right connection. I connected to a black plug. There seems to be only 2 connections that the adapter will fit (DMH-WC6600NEX head unit). The other is white. When I unplug and plug in the Pioneer GPS antenna, the error goes away and says OK on the connection.

I currently have the JBL system but that is going bye bye in the next few weeks. Head unit is a super nice upgrade and just looks better in the Tacoma.

Took the plunge and picked go the 6600nex on Amazon for $950. Love Crutchfield but just the HU is $1200 before the harness, MRR, and SiriusXM add-ons. Everything but the antenna adapter should get here tomorrow. This thread was the inspiration. Can’t wait to say goodbye to Entune 2.0.

I run a 4660 in my 2002 Tundra. Spent much of December driving only that. Swapped back to the Tacoma and 6600 on Tuesday. The bump in screen size is significantly noticeable after not having it. It’s a fantastic device, other than the ridiculous hoops to jump through when updating firmware. I’ve swapped to the USB for now as my phone doesn’t do a hot spot.

I finally have this thing in the dash!

I would like to publicly thank @daveeasa and @svermilyea for all of their guidance in getting my Germes camera setup working. Very much appreciated.

I haven't had much time to go through the settings, but I did notice this... when I am on a call and I press UP or DWN (not volume up/down) it hangs up. Using Android, and tested this with Android Auto as well just through the Pioneer interface. It hangs up in both of those instances. Has anyone else noticed something like that?
