Might be ok if you keep the heat even.

    But why?

Something not working with heating. Will have to wait till spring to fix because no indoor parking.

Ah I see. It doesn’t take much heat and it has to be over a wide area - might consider a hair dryer. My heat gun is too focused for this.

have you looked at the valve on the middle firewall under the hood? Seems to be a common fail

Sounds like a good way to crack the windshield.

Suggest you invest about $5 for an ice scraper. Learn how to use it. It takes less than 5 minutes to clear the frost.

BTW, windshield wipers are very poor scrapers.

If you are talking about the inside of the windshield, then suggest you get the system fixed. Or a 12Vdc fan blowing on the inside can help......some.

There is a coolant leak from the heater core whenever the heater is on. Only stops when coolant flow thru heater is stopped. I think it's a cracked pipe. Was going to change it out when I do I coolant flush (along with valves).

Just buy windshield cover off Amazon....
windshield glass is multi layer.....heat is bad news....

As far as the leak....when u shut off the heat coil flow...it still stays pressurized...
I would suspect the valve or connections around it...

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Most likely it is the inside of the windshield that has the Ice . The outside is easy.

I drove home from Wyoming in January to Eastern Pa Pretty much needed to have the drivers window rolled down

I would forsure get that issue fixed.
