Hey just read your write up. I got the 3" Stage 2 foam performance load and I'll be running 285/70R17's. Did you ever pinpoint the vibrations? And you are running 255's? Was this to avoid rubbing on the cab mount?

Yea, the 255 were to avoid rubbing but I still took off the front mud flaps. I think I would have been ok with the 285/75/16s too, with the wheels I picked and a really good alignment.
I was pretty much able to get the vibs gone. I do get them occasionally around 53-56mph but it’s not constant and it’s not bad at all, I don’t feel like it’s going to cause any issues. Wife says she can’t tell. I ended up adding extra spaces to the carrier bearing to get the driveline angles to pretty much match.

Stock gears and the KD Max tune, with mid throttle, might have been ST.. I’ll have to check that. I’m happy with the way she runs. I don’t drive like a sports car… usually but when I need power it’s there. With the tune and tires, it runs better than it did stock.

Very nice. I have 5.29's on the way and I still plan on getting a tune. Just looking for as much info on the Ironmans as I can get before I install.

Nice and welcome to the club! Besides having the higher rated springs on mine, I’ve really enjoyed the kit with no issues. The kit along with the E rated tires is a little stiff over lager bumps and pot holes. Install was pretty easy once the coils were built. I also did the ECGS bushing at the same time.

Cool man. I'll look into those as well. What exactly do they help with? I also got E rated tires, Falken Wildpeaks to be specific.

Did you get the Ironman UCAs as well? They might not be as “stiff” as the SPC UCA are.
The ECGS bushing replaces the needle bearing in the drivers side front diff output to the wheel. The needle bearing is a failure point that some people decide to replace while doing the suspension upgrade. Some times it’ll cause a vibration when it fails. You do need to pull the cv out to replace it.

Great write up! Question, I'm new to this suspension stuff... did some research and got the Ironman foamcell pro stage 2 kit 2.5" lift with performance load. got it installed from a local pro shop, but it has this weird bobbling, bouncing, swaying, can't describe it other than it feels like I'm on a boat. the worse the road the more I feel it. its like its up and down and side to side motion. makes me kind of car sick... when parked if I push the back side I notice it bobbles (like a bobble head), sways, or bounces, about 3-4 times until it settles... so that must be what I'm feeling every time I hit a bump in the road... is this normal? if not is there a way to fix it? anyone else experience this? or is this just how new suspensions with lift works?

That does not sound right at all. I’ll try and record mine later but definitely sounds like something isn’t right.
First thing, check that the top nuts are all tightened, then push down each corner and see if there is one that seems easier to move. This suspension is kinda stiff and that does not seem normal. sorry I can’t offer anything else at the moment.
Try and get a pic of the front struts that show the coils and threaded portion.

I've reached out to the installer and they are going to look at it... but just wanted to make sure this wasnt normal behavior. its undrivable for someone that gets car sick easy... like a mile in, ready to spew...

I’m gonna say there is wayyy to much preload on those spring.

Take a look at mine. Not an accurate reading but measure the threads and see.

I bet you have close to 3.5” of lift too, looking at your cv boots, unless your truck is on jacks right now.

Front the sheet on the first page, you should have just over 9” from the spring seat to the middle of the bolt hole. Looks like yours measurement might have been from the bottom of the lock nut.

Just checking those measurements are from each side right? And the one looks like it’s closer to 10” from seat to bolt hole?

Well, I’m not sure, they looked like the was a lot of preload but with your measurements, it does not seem like that is the case. They both look similar in adjustment too.
