At no point should the same teams face each other a second time. If that sitiuation is possible the system is broken

 

I’m a Dawgs fan but have liked Alabama since the Bear Bryant days. What will be will be. As long as we have some great playoff games!

Then you take the top 2 from each conference and 6 others. The 6 play to find 3, and the winner of the conference championship gets in. That leaves you 8 and treats the conference championship games as a round 1 of the playoffs.

I don't think you can really avoid that in any sort of playoff system. I'd love to see it avoided for the championship, but sometimes it do be like that.

 

Interesting, I was hearing some potential head coach talk for him. Maybe it was him wanted to move to a different opportunity?

Fired sure, but timing makes no sense. They’ve got no talent, no young Qb to develop. Mcaffery gets hurt all the time. Cam Newton is horrible. This move doesn’t help Carolina. But you have colleges looking to fill out their staffs. So that would explain the timing. It’s good for him

Anyone in here already talk about Kenny pickets’s fake slide for a TD? That’s why they gotta be able to hit the QB. Don’t blame him for it, but if That’s my team, someone is knocking him out next series.

 

I’ve had conversations about that in the past with friends, why don’t quarterbacks do that, it’s a great idea. But we always agreed, you do it once, expect to get lit up the next time you go to slide for real. Should save it for a key moment

 

Should be a penalty akin to grounding next year, except with a yardage loss on the down IMO. Down at spot and 10-15 tacked on for player safety (like targeting).

 

The one thing about football that bothers me is how uneven pass interference is called. Sometimes they allow the DB to mug the receiver and other times you can't touch him.

DB's are allowed to push down a receivers arm to keep him from going for ball with both hands and often gets away with holding one arm down.

The receivers are often allowed to push off the DB to allow separation which is rarely called.

In the Georgia vs Alabama game the refs rightfully call PI often but missed obvious calls also. Seems the trend now a days is let them wrestle for the ball.
