Not much yet I only picked it up a couple days ago. Spent a good 4 hours sitting on a milk crate and cleaning out the mold inside yesterday though. As well as all the vinyl residue outside. Lots more cleaning to do and I was gonna cut a cubby “nightstand” into the lower shelf of the toolbox, closest to the cab.

Probably won’t be until after the holidays that we start buying bigger stuff for it. Christmas is already pretty hard on the wallet

I ordered from ECGS, 2nd experience with them and they are very responsive to questions (Paul) and 3 week lead time. I installed this weekend and very happy so far, this is how the truck should come from the factory... Got to get through the break in period then I can really put it to the test.

Be careful if using a heat gun, too much heat too close will peel the finish off your fender flares if we're talking about the same adhesive.

    Success!

    somewhat

I had to use an impact driver to remove the screws, one wouldn't budge so I had to drill the head off. I tried to remove it from inside the fender with no luck. What type of nut does Toyota use there, can I buy it from the dealer? I'll be replacing all the screws and putting anti-seize on everything (not just the bed bolts) from now on.

Anybody with the jack mounted like this, does the handle keeper rub on the wheel arch? I'm thinking about moving the jack to behind the cab. I pulled the base off, I need to sand blast it and paint it. It's a new jack but the base looks used.

I also bought the locking knob from Hi-Lift, should be here Wednesday.

Installed a Kats engine block heater (had to grind part of the side flat) and oil pan heater. Then fluid filmed the inside of the frame and lower control arms. Ordered my winch so now I get to source some 1/4" plate to see if I can make my own under cover style winch plate to retain the stock bumper. Ordered a 1/2" spacer to put on the driver side and planning to move the current 1/4" to the passenger side. After doing full skids and sliders and now adding a winch I am losing height on my 5100/887's. Want to move up to 6112's with a 650lb spring but just don't have the budget currently so 1/4" of spacer up front should help at least offset the winch weight until I can save for stiffer fronts.

Make sure to scuff the climbing rail. They perform much better when they're not shiny.

My kid was concerned about an inconsistent noise under the hood on the 2012. Found that, after the recall was recently done, the secondary air pump has a louder growl when it cycles. They also changed the cover so it no longer has the allen screw to remove it. Anyone else notice this. My 2008 does not have the pump thankfully.

You’ll most likely need extended top hat studs to run the 1/2” spacer.
