Yeah that cold. I used to work in deep freezers , like Sysco foods , deep freezer warehouses . One particular area we were doing work was where they kept the ice cream. Talk about damn cold -4°F . I had double face masks , under armour 4.0 underlayer , hand warmers in all my pockets , 1 beanie , 1 pair of merlot wool socks, 1 pair of ua socks, long sleeve shirt , t-shirt , 2 pairs of gloves , a sweatshirt, 1 insulated suit, and a hooded Carhartt jacket. Our genie scissor lifts hardly kept a full battery, our forklift had check engine lights and really slow hydraulics. When the concrete saw cutters came in they had to use antifreeze with their water so the saws wouldn't freeze. Don't get me started on our hand tools omg . Needless to say it was most extreme working conditions I've experienced. Did this for a few months , during the summer !!!!!!!! I was worried I was gonna get the flu during the summer lol.

Something I totally understand brother. The coldest I have experienced was -61.6 F or -52°C...I remember I just parked my car and I was walking toward my place of work and a transit bus stopped to give me a ride. I was all bundled up...North Face and Helly Hansen head to toe...
Up here we enjoy ice fishing and last winter bought some boots I kid you not...-148F (-100°C) made by a Canadian company called Baffin...take that frickin cold!

Oh oh oh I do have this badass Canadian snow jacket rated for -25°F . Now that jacket I could be only wearing that for a top and I sweat in that jacket . I did order it for those freezers we were working in , but it got backordered sadly . When it arrived I was like oh no I'm keeping this bad boy

Uhh-h, 50 and sunny here. Getting down to 39 deg F at night. Shoot, I worked outside in my shorts and short sleeves last weekend it was so pleasant. And this is Portland, Oregon, not Calif, Arizona, or Florida. We'll get a week of colder weather-- in the 20s day and night, and "for sale" signs will pop up. Predictions of snow cause "Snowmageddon" and school closures even if no flake has yet dropped. But, yes, it's cold where you be.

I checked out the Baffin site that's some nice gear they have . Prices are not bad for what it's intended for.

How are you all not madmaxing and murdering Trudeau up there?,

I mean I'm less than half a tank of gas away from the border and we turn into angry jackoffs ready to kill anyone who looks at us the wrong way the second it gets below freezing.

I'm not kidding, our murder and armed robbery rates go up during the winter and settle down in spring.

-20F is pretty comfortable in my opinion if you have decent gear. I’ll take that over anything 90F or higher all day long. I used to just wear jeans and a medium weight down puff jacket as normal wear in that weather. I will never give up my Baffin -148F boots for long days of ice fishing or being on the sled though.

I worked in the freezer at Gordon Food Services. People thought I was odd because I always wore shorts. It was good job while going to school.

Brother, this summer we had a frickin month of 104F (+40°C) and I can tell you that we for the most part hated the darn thing...I couldn't stand being outdoors, everything dry...yellow, fire bans. Multiple showers a day, insane!, inside vehicles oven like...I think dealing with heat is way more challenging than dealing with cold...what do you guys think ?,. One other thing, the vehicles feel so much more sluggish when it's hot...air density has gone to poop...

Is this a political thread or a temperature thread? Traitors? Not so free? Lol

Where was it +40 for a month? The record daily high in Alberta is +41. Edmonton and Calgary both hit 36/37 this summer but certainly weren't +40 for a month.

Yeah, this thread is exactly why everyone else in Canada side eyes Alberta.
Lived and worked out there for a while - beautiful Province - still side eyeing though.
