The amount of variance in the calls makes me think it will soon be a reviewable penalty.

 

I doubt it. It would add too much time to the game most likely. The NHL regretted allowing teams to challenge a goal on account of being offsides, even if the goal was more than a minute or two later than the offsides.

 

I just watched the fake slide play and clearly the DB let up. I would hit him hard the very next time he drops back and passed the ball, lay him out while he's watching the ball sail down field. You'll get 15 but just like baseball if you intentionally hit one of ours, expect the same.

 

I agree but you can't review every close call so give the coaches 1 flag review per half. They lose the review they lose a timeout.

 

I’d be fine with that. Or just make it like the targeting ones, where it can be reviewed in the booth and if they’re fast enough stop the play and flag it. If offense gets a play off before booth calls down then so be it

 

Then you get ejected from the game

 

You can't let the quarterback fake slide if you want to protect him. Once he moves in any way to slide, fake or not, the play is over at that spot. The rule is designed to protect him and he abused that rule IMO.

NCAA made a ruling on the fake slide. The ball is dead at the spot of the initiation of the fake. As it should be.

Conflicting reports in that apparently. Sportswriters on the tweeter are saying their sources at UO are telling them they haven’t hired anyone. Could be because the announcement is expected Monday, but who knows.

 

Now that Clemson sucks again UVA is all over getting in on some of that!
