The guy at Home Depot helped my dad lift it into the truck, and I helped him get it out.

They will probably force an electric one before that wears out.

that seems about right! Get your plug out and drag it thru the snow, try and guess where you routed it so you don’t cut the cord with it

They tore down an old house near my house and built this (so it is a brand new house), incorporating pieces from the demolished house into the new one; It actually turned out pretty damn good in my opinion, but they are asking $550K for the place...

This is the back of the house; It does not have a garage, but to be honest if I had the money I would still buy it. The house had 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and is very tastefully done; The one thing I don't like about it is that it has propane heat (you can see the tanks on the side of the house, next to the air-conditioner), which can get very expensive (all of the new houses in this area have natural gas, and it is confounding to me that the builder didn't tap into the public gas lines)...

The listing on Zillow says it's over 3,400 square feet, and I'm assuming that includes a finished basement because my house has 4 bedrooms and is just under 3,000 square feet, and this place looks smaller...

Zillow is saying the house has a heat pump; It does have central A/C as you can see in the first photo, but I took a close look at the unit and it most certainly just a straight-cool unit (not a heat pump). The listing says the propane is for the fireplace, but I'm assuming it does the heat too...? The house also has an electric stove...

So, yes, it is illegal in Pennsylvania and most if not all other states to drive around with Christmas lights on your vehicle; However, my uncle is a cop in New Jersey and says that he personally would not pull a vehicle over for such a thing. I am friendly with a lot of the Warrington Township cops and when I flat out asked one of them last year if what I was legal, he said "no, but you're fine."

I had a buddy back in the 1980s that did Christmas lights around the windows on his GTI back then, he never got hassled either.

This past weekend, I was driving along the main drag in New Hope, and a marked New Hope Borough police SUV was driving in the opposite direction; This SUV came to a dead stop, it's emergency lights came on, and I thought I was about to get pulled over...

I had the windows in the truck down (driver's side all the way and passenger side part way); It was a bit chilly, but I was blasting Christmas music and I had the heat cranked so the cold didn't really bother me. I was blasting "Step Into Christmas" by Elton John I believe; The cop couldn't exactly swing a U-turn on that narrow street, but as his window rolled down I figured that at a bare minimum I was about to get chewed the hell out...

    Not the case!

The cop was smiling and giving me the thumbs up, complimenting me on my lights, pointing up at his roof, and asking me if I liked his...

I've been doing this for five years, driving my truck through numerous jurisdictions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and even on the turnpike covered in multicolored Christmas lights; The reaction of this one New Hope police officer tells me that I likely don't have anything to worry about!
