I look at things a bit different. I feel very fortunate. 0C7E872E-B064-4B5B-B226-D09F1699630D.jpg There is more money to “grab” than anytime in my lifetime. All you have to do pick it up. Here’s my new ride. :)

I went looking for 3 items tonight.... whip cream, sour cream and onion potato chips and eggo toaster sticks. I only came home with the whip cream. The other store was out of all 3. Yet the bottle of tequila was only 8 bucks.

Tequila, whip cream, potato chips, and eggos? What time should I be there? ;)

Speaking of gasoline . Since buying my 2018 taco new , I have forked over $ 13,000 in gasoline (60k miles). so far I think I have purchased around $50,000 in just gasoline since getting my drivers license 21 years ago.

I see articles fairly often about liquor shortages in many states. I don’t drink much hard stuff myself, but I was looking for a couple specific things for Christmas gifts and they are simply not possible to acquire right now, in store or online. As for price, it’s pretty interesting and complicated, but it’s an industry where prices are hedged against input cost increases 12 months at a time, and the alcoholic beverage industry took a huge hit for a long time with bars and restaurants being closed. We could start to see more serious inflation impacts in ‘22…

The boomers are sleeping right now.
In a couple of hours they will awake and start posting about inflation in the late 70's and gas shortages.

And that's because they're too caught up in their Dolphin Short Boomer NarcissismTM and forget their parents' generation (and their grandparents too) came from an era where you spent something like half your income on food and clothing. (But they whipped their own cream, @JaCado !)

The boomers might also say that in the late 70’s and early 80’s, borrowing rates were much, much higher. Our low rates today are partially responsible for inflation, for example, real estate.

Late 70’s / early 80’s, the BEST rate was between 9 and 15 percent. Earlier in the 70’s was about 8 percent, still pretty stout compared to today.

The dealers are making more money on cars and trucks than they ever have in recent history. They have realized they do not need a lot full of trucks.

Do you really think we are going back to full lots and deep discounts?
