I love my 6 ft bed so used to a 8ft bed anything shorter then 6 ft reminded me of a Sports Truck and I still need a truck. I used to drive this off road on wildfires. I built this to contract with the USFS that paid $1,000.00 a day to go out with the boys and put fires out! I really enjoyed doing that. Try going between trees and not even blinking cause you know where the sides are! Had roads break down under the weight 50,000 lbs! This Baby had 3 types of brakes, Turbo Charged and 475 HP lot of fun! It even squirted water 150 feet 800 GPM I had the best Cannon I could find to put on it a 3" with a PTO pump hooked into the engine. I built the tank and set up the truck at my home. This was my biggest project I ever did and learned how to weld doing it. Now starting to do little things on the TRD!TENDER.jpg CANNON%20TEST9.jpg

I love seeing the various home built tactical tenders at fires.

The fire camp services folks can make a killing running between CalFire contract jobs all season.

I saw your truck at Ubehebe on Friday. License plate gave it away. We headed out to the Racetrack then down Lippincott to Saline. Weather was perfect indeed - no wind!!

Yep, I snuck in for a quick peek as I was passing by.
I almost headed to the Racetrack. Was there many people?

Yeah that was me. There was no one at the Racetrack, except for a parked Raptor at the very far end. My first time there since ‘87. Planned to camp at Homestake but it looked like a long cold evening, so at 4:09PM we dropped down over Lippincott for my first time on that route, got through the descent before dark and were set up soaking at the Springs by 7PM. Just like my experience at Alabama Hills the night before, the lower Springs were uncrowded with a quiet mellow group of people and we ended up staying there two nights. Left Saline yesterday about 9:15 and got home to the Central Coast just after 8PM via Sonora Pass.

    Sounds like a good trip!
I think that the Alabama Hills are hit or miss.
I grew up on the Central Coast. Lompoc to be exact.

Just bought the 10 acres next to my 13 where I already had my cabin in mid-Michigan. 23 acres now with trails and hills. Should be good for some fun. Excellent deer hunting. That’s my cabin on the original heavily forested property in the background to the right of the truck.

Added some more pinstripes on the truck. Stocko Taco killed it. 3 wheels on the ground as I waited for a group to go past.Taco Flex.jpg
