What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Okay shit, you might have to help me with the tweeters, definitely something I want to do. Although, like I told you awhile ago, sound deadening was the biggest audio upgrade i've made.

 

Yeah no prob. I didn't have any problems with it at all. The little white clips everyone complains about popped right out for me. Stereo sounds 8000x better

 

Installed new leather-wrapped OEM Steering Wheel tonight. Even with it being my first time it took all of 30 minutes. This, because I used electrical contact cleaner on all contact plugs and connections. The only exception was the two Air Bag leads. They were very clean and looked to be well lubricated with what looked to be dielectric grease.

The only thing I would offer to be cautious of would be the airbag ground connection. It is a bit stubborn and needs to be carefully removed as to not stress the lead or connection terminal. I have heard a few comments on having to carefully tighten the stake-on terminal connector for proper contact before reinstalling. I found this to be true with my install as well. It is simply a matter of slightly tightening the contact points on the female terminal for a snug fit before reinstalling.

Below, seems to be a good price on OEM Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel. I Inquired with the vendor and he said he has three left as of a day or two ago. The one I received was new, new, and well look like the one that came in my truck, again new.

looks great! Do you have any before pics of the grill? I’m just curious how much trimming it took.

I just got an 18” DD bar on Black Friday and I’m debating whether to just bolt it to my bumper and be done with it or get creative fitting it behind my grill.

Well that's good to know before I tried installing it. I was under the truck yesterday doing the block heater. My 5100s with a 1/4"spacer look to have more than another 1/4" worth of threads sticking out the top of the current bolts. Thanks for the heads up I'll have to do some more research then.

I didn't take any before pics. but it took some trimming to do it like I did. I cut all of the cross pieces out of the way and trimmed the inside bottom below the Toyota emblem and then also cut two slots for the bracket to push it forward as much as I could.

 

Currently replacing the bedsides with some advanced fiberglass ones to match the front.

 

Just put in new headlights, had to take my grille off for adjustment, I will send a pic later of what it looks like with the grille lights wired up too

Also, my raptor grille's lights are currently amber, but I have a friend who can print new color filters for it, do y'all think I should do white to match the DRLs on the lights, or leave the grill lights alone?
