i do not, but i never turn the bike on let alone ride it when the temps are below 45*
shit I barely ride below 60*
for my specific area winter is cold but there are plenty of +45* days where I feel comfortable enough riding around for a few minutes/miles

I understand/believe a lot of owners worry about winterizing but in many cases it is making a mountain out of a molehill, just my opinion of course
having a new bike and an efi bike, the way I see it this thing will get sold off long before I really need to worry about anything
and if the perspective buyer thinks I was negligent well that is on them not me

With that info it sounds unlikely your bike will be in hibernation for any real extended period. Here in PA I know more than a few people who put their bikes away until Spring and did so back in mid-October. I just rode to work again today so my FJR1300 doesn't get parked for winter. It only stays home for snow, ice, and the crap PA puts on the roads for those things that tend to ruin nice motorcycle parts. That's what I have a Tacoma for.....

I was up snow wheeling in the mountains a few years ago in my Tacoma and had a group of snowmobilers pass us with one of these in their group. The snow was probably 3 feet deep and the guy was struggling with it big time, kept sinking and then he would try to put a foot down but punched right through and couldn't get his foot planted before the bike was on it's side. He had to dig it out each time and try to get it back up and stable enough to get going again but as soon as he slowed down, over it went. Ever since then I have felt like they are probably way less fun than they look.

I think they are either balls to the wall or you will have a terrible day. Look like an absolute blast when people are riding them fast.

Drove 2 hours in my beater civic today (got over 250 miles to 3/4 tank), to the dealership to trade in my old jacket and gloves. Ordered the matching jacket because it wasnt in stock at the store, but they still gave me 15% off jacket and gloves because of the trade. Ordered Moose Racing ADV1 short gloves too. Also got a battery tender jr for lithium batteries. And i picked up oil/filter from the dealership next door. Very happy that oil/filter OEM Honda only costs $50.

Jacket and gloves will be drop shipped to me, so i should have them this week.

After I got home, instantly went out to look for dirt and put some more miles on. Plus it was 70 degrees. Now ive got 350 miles, and ready for the first oil change.

Spent yesterday trying to bleed the brakes the old fashioned way but the ABS module on the bike wasn’t having it. Went to the freight and got this little guy for $30. Brakes were done in 15 min. Did a full flush just because. Eesh.

RE: Fuel stabilizers - Check out FortNine and Project Farm for a multitude of testing. From what I gather, there really isn't anything that will offset the harmful effects of ethanol as the stabilizers are made to slow the oxidation of the gas. Your best bet? Fill with ethanol free if you can but, tbh, I wouldn't worry too much unless the bike will be sitting for 4-5 months...

Kind of one of those doesn't really do much good but also doesn't hurt so I just keep my mouth shut topics haha but I agree with you, I wouldn't worry too much about it on EFI. For carbs run them dry, drain the bowls to get the last little bit, and you should be fine. As long as you don't put it away for the winter with a full bowl, then that's a disaster.

Edit: and here is the F9 one

Basically, Water molecules evaporate even when frozen, the warmer they become the faster it will evaporate, 212deg water turns to steam, unless under pressure

Same! Never been thrilled by cold temps but, as I've gotten older, I find there are always a few weeks where it feels like I just can't get warm. I have taken to wearing an old set of snow bibs when I have to crawl under one of the vehicles and that helps a lot! Racking knuckles on metal is bad, racking them on cold metal is agony... for my delicate hands anyway...

Saw on the news this morning a couple was killed on their motorcycle on a road I’ve traveled a lot on my motorcycle. It was the classic, car turned left in front of them. Not stuff I like to hear. :annoyed: Guess it serves as a reminder to be vigilant, and ride safe! Although I doubt this couple was riding unsafe. :notsure:

EDIT: Car driver was allegedly under the influence.
