Since I heard on here that the Soft Topper's are taking a real long time to get after they say there shipped, like the email I got with the tracking number saying so? I sent them a email asking if this was true that mine is really not ready to ship but you made it sound that way? No body has emailed me back about it yet. Was not nasty just said I hate waiting and if it is not shipped can you tell me the truth when it may go out? I heard your waiting on Aluminum Parts and have a big back order on them?? Just hate to think it may get here next year till after winter is close to being over. Not wanting to check tracking numbers just for fun when they mean nothing. Thank You, Mark

@MESO I’ve experienced the inability to switch between white and red specifically on the rear dome light. No real issues on the front lights. Best of luck.

Do you have a brake controller on your truck?
I’ve been hesitant to pull anything that big. Wondering how much it pushes the Taco around

Like doesn't switch between red and white at all or only some of the time? The rear dome I got was red only, button didn't work whatsoever. :notsure:

I drive a 18' auto hauler trailer around all the time and dont have any issues. I have no brake controler either. I dont think they even offer one on the tacomas. Thats the reason I plan on to get a 3rd gen Tundra soon.

Sorry. Clutch start cancel apparently can’t be wired with the start stop button. So you get the key switch which allows you hold the ignition over to crawl along. Why they can’t have it with the button? Idk.

I believe the TRD OR and Sport are pre-wired for a brake controller. I know for sure my OR was. All you need is the adapter wire for the Tacoma model and then add a controller of your choice.

Tacoma’s are actually prewired for a break controller, the connector is located behind driver left foot kick panel. I just installed a Redarc Tow Pro Elite unit completely plug and play with the Tacoma harness. Module installs behind the dash so only thing visible in the cab is a small control knob.

Which harness did you get? I see two options for the Tacoma...

I would just add a brake controller.
Good to know. Thanks for the info!
