And also, I just got a new frame and several other chassis parts at no cost to me; I don't mind driving the shit the out of my truck right now!

Also never smart to be taken advantage by the employer.

It never earns you any leverage or favor.

Also, I essentially hit the lottery with this frame replacement; As stated above, I want to drive the shit out of my truck before all the snowstorms start!

Normally I'd use one of our company's Dodge Rams, but that has been requisitioned for hauling unmanned aircraft, and I'm not about to load up one of our new company minivans with garbage; The Tacoma makes the most sense!

Sure, makes the most sense for the employer. The trash is hauled for FREE. Zero cost for his vehicles and Zero cost for trash service. All to the employers bottom line as profit.

Trash disposal is part of normal overhead for a business.

Basically, you are getting screwed because of your nature. Meanwhile, the employer enjoys the extra profit on the bottom line.

Like I said, Its your choice. Just trying to offer a bit of enlightenment.

If it is an Interference Engine and the timing belt broke then it probably bent the valves and possibly even damaged the piston too.

Sounds like it seriously overheated, kinda curious to hear what her Son finds when he tears it down.

Actually in this particular case (just the recycling) I don't think there's much I can do, because if the building where I work doesn't have a recycling dumpster and if it weren't for me driving it over to HQ, the cardboard would get thrown out with the rest of the trash.

We are 99% sure it's the head gasket; At Gwyn's house after we got the engine out of my bed, it started hemorrhaging a brownish green mixture which is more than likely coolant mixed with oil, which couldn't be anything but a blown head gasket. The engine is totally seized, with absolutely no play whatsoever in this pulley; The fact that this thing is so rusted is also incredibly suspect...

What I'm really worried about is that, given the atrocious condition of the engine, the transmission will be shitting the bed next...

I thought Subaru was supposed to be reliable, but apparently this specific era of the Boxer engine was known for head gasket and timing belt failures...?!?!

This car has a clean title, but the more I look at this engine, the more I think there might have been some water damage...

I'm not really personally that fond of Subaru, think the closest Dealer to me would probably be roughly 100 miles away. Rarely even see them on the roads locally around here, maybe 2 or 3 per month.
