Three months after I started here my supervisor moved offices and I was tasked with deciding what could be thrown and what needed to be kept. I hadn't been here long enough to know what needed to be kept so I just packed up four boxes and put them on a shelf. Six years later we needed that shelf space so I went through it again. I kept 3 pieces of paper.

My back blade needs to be a little bigger than that.
    Better get on it…

Damn, I've thrown shafts away in the metal hopper that were worn way less than that. o_O But, different company standards I guess...

Metal prices have tripled the boss said. He priced that shaft for the guy, just the material 42mm X 4' long TGP (turned, ground, and polished for those wondering) was a little over $600, that doesn't include us cutting new keyways

Ooofta! So next time I throw away a 1 7/16" x 70" one my boss probably won't be amused if I say "Well there went $800"

They also tore out another rear end in an electric tugger last week. That will probably be a $6,000 fix once I put it in... Not to mention all the 6V batteries we're going through.

I don't get presents anyway. We decided as a family a long time ago that a trip is a whole lot easier. :D

That'll make it run 80 times faster. Think of all the work you'd get done!
