Hopefully it works out for you guys. Forecast is calling for rain, but that might just make it more fun.

I've noticed I can't really trust the forecast in SC, especially two weeks out lol. Hopefully its nice, I'd like to fly the drone

The area up there is part of a temperate rain forest, but I was looking at the wrong weekend. Right now it looks like it might be nice.

tagging @06AtlTaco since he commented in another thread that he wants to get out more.

I'm gonna try to make it as well. I'm about 2 or 3 hours away, so I'll also vote to start later than 8am....maybe more like 11am. I remember there being a Petro station with a food counter inside as the last gas before the trail. They had an excellent patty melt, so IF I can make it and IF we can start closer to 11, I'll grab an early lunch and top off the tank.

    Is this the meetup spot?

Pretty sure this is the gas station. If it is, it's a Marathon and not a Petro: https://goo.gl/maps/QeAmFsfjUvUsJy8VA

Also, it was raining when I ran it 2 years ago with @Sprocket1505 and @synaps3 . There was another guy, I think his username was @r0bn8r or something like that, but he doesn't post anymore and his name doesn't populate when I type it in. I would absolutely do it in the rain again.

That is the right spot. There is a big parking lot and some Porta potties there. One of the gas stations had closed a while back, not sure if permanently or not.

Havn't been up that way in a while but the last time I was they were remodeling it. Right there at devils fork and across the street is the lake access at some landing.

I was hoping that would be the case. There is also a grocery store with a restaurant in it somewhere around there. I only saw it one time, though.
