    First off, thanks to everyone's previous posts on upgrading our trucks to 285/70 tires. Great data points. I wanted to post this information from my recent upgrade and hopefully cover many of the questions we all have.

    2020 TRD Sport
    Bilstein 1500 shocks all around with 1" blocks in rear
    Factory springs and upper control arms
    17x8.5" Fifteen52 wheels
    Backspace = 4.75
    Offset = 0
    Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70/17 tires
    Factory mudflaps
    No trimming, no cutting, no rubbing.

    looks nice! I've been researching extensively, except on my 2nd gen with a similar set up, except with 285/75/16's. I'm hoping I dont have any rubbing issues like you dont.

    Looks great man!

    I’m assuming you didn’t do CMC, did you cycle the suspension?

    Edit: Forgot to ask, how did you make it fit in the spare tire location?

    Thanks. I didn't have to do a cab mount cut. Thankfully. I did not cycle the suspension yet. It's close, no doubt. My gut tells me, on some challenging terrain, I will rub, due to the closeness. I will be trimming my mudflaps for additional clearance. I've done some offroading in Colorado with 265/70's with no issue. I have a feeling these will touch on same terrain. I don't offroad alot, as there isn't anything to technical in WI. As far as the spare tire goes, I still have the factory spare, in the hopes I don't get a flat and if I do, there are plenty of places by me that are a short drive. If not, doing a wheel swap front to rear, if a rear goes flat will be a pita. As we all know, always a work in progress.

    Edit: From my research, with my wheel offset, I shouldn't have a cab mount issue. But may have some plastic touching, i.e mudflaps. At some point, I will be putting on a hitch mount spare tire rack to alleviate the spare tire issue.

    Looks great, I think I'll go this route with our new 22'. I'm assuming you set the 5100's in front on the top clip is that correct? Also, have you noticed any bucking from the back with the block, we have a 17' now and ours had 1.5in block and it bucked BAD, had to switch to 3 leaf AAL.

    Looks great. I have decided that I will go 285/75R16 or 285/70R17. I have a 2/1.5 lift and do not run mud flaps so should be fine. If it does end up rubbing I will just bite the bullet and do the CMC.

    Looks good! I like your nice clean shop too - do I spy a C7 on the hoist in the background?

    You will need CMC 100% if you leave pavement. Also most likely front mudflaps will have to go.

    Mud flaps are already gone. I will just stick to pavement until I can get the CMC done.

    I’m thinking of going to 255/80/17 (33.2”) but the stock mudflaps need to go. I really don’t wanna take them off because my paint will be ruined from driving off-road for hours. Probably gonna go with 275/70/17 (32.2”), since I don’t wanna chop up my truck and keep my mudflaps.

    Even if you're not rubbing now, you're definitely going to rub your pinchwelds when stuffed.
