90 is too much for something you can cut out with a jigsaw and pay a buddy to weld them on. Oh wait does it come with a longer UCA bolt though? My taco is 5 lug so things are a bit different.

$90 or $400 to get these UCA gussets on are much cheaper than the cost incurred if you tweak your entire coil bucket.

It takes awhile to get the metal cleaned up and all the parts aligned properly.

x2. I bent 3 UCA mounting bolts before I finally got around to gusseting the buckets and double-sheering those mounts. No problems since, except that the UCA mounting bolt was too short. (I converted to heim joints at the same time)

Had some custom length 14mm bolts made and everything's good now.

Hey MJP2 you have Camburg kit with the Total Chaos gussets or did you make your own? I just wonder why Total Chaos says that the gussets are only compatible with their kit. Just looking at them it looks like you could use them on Camburgs kit as well but I dont want to buy them just to find out they dont fit

Also on a different part of your truck but same subject, I was looking at the pics of the gussets on your spindles. Did they weld the very top portion of the spindle right where the upper uniball goes through? Ive looked at many pics of different trucks and it doesnt look like any of them are welded at the very top

Anything can be made to work if your welder/fabricator is good. With the bucket gussets there was a small gap in spots but it was easily filled in with the MIG gun and made solid.

With the spindle gussets, yes, I'm welded all the way around at the top of the spindle. I can't imagine why people wouldn't finish the job and not weld that section.

I thought the same thing but I was looking at the photos of your truck on TTORA and I couldnt see the weld at the top. I tried to copy the pic so I could put a circle around what I was looking at but it wont let me lol. Thanks for the info Im super stoked. I get to call and order my Camburg kit today :D

So I'm working on the truck tomorrow finally. Having some buddies over and going to work on the tacos and grill up some carne

Welding new 3/8" alignment holder tabs on after i cut them out
Welding the crossmember up since it has a crack in it
Installing the cup holders into the bedsides
repainting some areas that need some touching up
Figure out some more of the wiring mess
Rotate the tires since I trashed two of them(hoping the DTC will replace them for wearing weird)

    Anyone else doing anything?

I worked on mine today. Granted there was no welding involved. But I touched up my sliders. Installed a PA. And painted a part of my front bumper black. Oh and fixed my carrier bearing. Apparently it shifted and the bushing was rubbing making an awful screech. Sounded like a colony of chipmunks and squirrels were singing.

Do both! The coil bucket gussets have the added benefit of double-sheering your UCA mounts. Crap like this gets old quick:

Yeah guys I have more metal and can cut them. They are just going to be little tabs that you either weld next to or replace the old little tab things with. And I'll cut out as many as I can and post up a picture of them so you all can see what they look like. I'd most likely only chage like $8 for them shipped lol

    EDIT: Fixing phone text talk

I'm also trying to put a list together of misc stuff for the install of the kit. So far I have all the normal tools, a ball joint removal thing, red loctite. What kind of grease would I use for the bushings and what kind of teflon spray for the uniballs and/or heims?
