Weird, cool stuff you found in the woods.

My first thought on the table was someone intending to use it several years to process game away from their house. It would make a nice place for shooting if there is some open space to set targets.

 

I’d definitely try doing some metal detecting around that structure as well.

Not much of that around here... yet.

 

I'm always on the lookout for mines and mining towns. The first two photos were taken at an in-tact mining town -- due to its remoteness, it was in remarkable shape: about a dozen buildings, many had glass, some furniture/appliances, no bullet holes (that's refreshing). Along with the town, a large ore mill also remained.



Underground artifacts are fun too:

Rail remains in the mine. Ore chute on the right, winze on the left, there's a shaft just ahead.

Never know, some Tide and some stain remover, you may get a useable pair for emergencies.

 

Oh yeah, I would definitely report it,,, probably check his pockets first, but yeah definitely report it.

 

We bumped into this stuff while riding the dirt bikes a year ago:

Was up in the Chattahoochee NF this last week and found a few boxes of 5.56 blanks and what looked like a 37mm flare.
