I don’t understand how the hell you use 14 cans. The first time I did it, I used like 6 cans. Each time since it’s been on average 4. I spray it all minus the exhaust and brakes. That amount covered everything nicely and my undercarriage is spotless.

Just ordered Eibach pro 2.0 coilivers, Eibach rear shocks, deaver stage 2 402s, clamshell bushing, and SPC UCAs. No idea when all this shit is going to get here, I had planned to wait until my factory suspension had more miles on it, but sales are solid and life is short. Anybody do meetups for lift installs or otherwise know decent shops familiar with the work in the area? I had a nearby neighborhood mechanic do the lift on my 4Runner and it was a nightmare with leaking cv axels, coils on the wrong sides in the back etc etc.

I might wait until spring as the truck is pretty well coated in fluid film right now. On topic of the last few posts, I do mine each year in the street. Wear a tyvec suit and get busy with cans that I buy in the summer on sale. I used 6-7 first year. I think I used 4 this year. It’s messy but if you wear a disposable outer layer and keep it out of your eyes it’s not too bad. Stay upwind if it’s breezy lol.

Thanks, I’ll have to get a quote. There’s a small shop on my work commute where I see a nicely modded 3rd gen regularly. Might stop in there and check that too. Definitely not something to take just anywhere even though this one will be much easierand less hazardous than my OME springs and 5100s I had put on my previous 4runner. Those things were STOUT and needed a serious spring compressor.

[IMG] Putting it out here to see if anyone is interested, got a mostly complete TRD lift kit I got stuck with. (Part number change, can’t return) shocks, grill, parts kit. All that it needs is the radar sensor (which I can get at employee cost) was thinking $800 for what I have

Joe is the owner, Rick is the mechanic and the one you’d most likely speak to if he picks up. The issue is that Rick is always busy wrenching on a customer’s vehicle and hardly picks up the phone. He usually does return phone messages though. If you are looking for someone to do fluid film, I saw a guy local posting like $200 to spray it on for you. If you are looking for suspension work, it would be easier on Rick to have your stuff ready to go and just set a date for install once you get a hold of him.

Good just submitted contact info again. I’m still waiting on my Deavers, probably looking at February, everything else I have on hand including UCAs, new bolts for those, clamshell, puller and cv axel seal. I do my own fluid film, it’s not bad. Could probably handle the lift if I want to wait until summer, but not wrenching on it in the cold. Appreciate it!
