I also ended up with a 3070 and 3080, both at MSRP. Ended up giving the 3070 to my buddy for $600. He just happens to be the guy who snagged me a ps5 last Xmas haha. Evened us up.

I've been looking high and low for 3060 to 3080 for a reasonable price. Just have to be patient and hope new egg selects me for the shuffle one of these days.

Yep. I did the shuffle for about 6 months straight and got a 3080. I entered every single day, for every single card they sold as a non-package deal. Ended up with an EVGA XC3.

I can't remember what hardware you run, but I'd step up the wattage when you rebuy if you're going to keep it for a while. PSUs lose about 20% of their max output every 5-7 years, more if they're grade B or below which a $65 PSU will definitely be.

I'd say the power supply is going or possibly underpowered for your application (without looking at your build page).

Here's a reliable PSU teir/grade chart for anyone curious. Buying 80 plus gold and a brand name does not mean you bought a teir 1 unit. Units teir out depending on their components. A higher teir PSU has more surge draw capacity and components more likely to last 10 years or more.

Good advice sterdog. If this was a 2017 PSU, I would be looking at other potential problems. But since this is an old PSU at this point, it might be end of life. Good news, even great PSU's are less than $100. A 3700x and 2060 together are not going to tax any modern 750w unit. I run a 5900x and massively overclocked 3080, with full fan array and AIO on a 2017 EVGA G3 750W.

Loaded Halo Infinite and hooked up my PS4 controller today :crapstorm:

The 1050ti is really struggling, any suggestions on an upgrade path? I looked at EVGAs wait list thing but it's currently closed.

    Monitor is 3440 x 1440 144hz with AMD freesync.

I’d probably say a 6800xt to take advantage of the 1440p freesync monitor

Yep thanks for all of the feedback guys. It's a 3700x/2060 combo so pretty dang efficient. No RGB or anything crazy just like 6 different case fans to keep things cool. I ordered another EVGA 750W bronze. Should be here Sunday so I'll do a swap out and monitor things for a week or two to see if that hopefully fixes the issue.

So you're saying my 12700K/3080Ti, both overclocked, aren't efficient?

My board shows 750 watt surge draw :bananadead:.

@Tilt random though, if you're software is more game like than CAD like why not look at the 6900XT? They're the same price on shelves as the 3080Ti and readily available at ME. I could of had a mid-tier MSI card for $2049 and the 6900XT actually kills the 3080Ti in Vulkan which it looks like your software uses.

Definitely something I'm considering. I've been doing some GPU monitoring (with MSI Afterburner) over the past few days. To try and identify which areas are working the hardest on my current GPU. I'm FAR from being 'technically savvy' enough to really pinpoint things. But I'm hoping to see some trends, that I can use to compare specs...with other cards. So far, I only see that the 'GPU Usage' gets maxed out, when I'm moving around in Enscape. And 'Frame Buffering' does activate - but barely up to 45 - 50%. Otherwise, nothing else jumps too much.
I did turn up my GPU fan speed a slight, and have not had any crashes. Mind you....I can go several days without seeing an issue. And I haven't been working on my largest project for a few days either. So who knows. Computers can be wildly random....as we all know!

Ugh waiting on my 1700 bracket from NZXT so I can finally install my 12900k. So mad they ran out and I'm not sure when it will ship at this point....

How did they run out? With the DDR5 shortage Alderlake processors are literally piling up in warehouses. LGA1700 isn't even selling at a rate close to what it could of.

So this is for the Kraken Z73 cooler - NZXT didn't make enough of the mounting bracket for it. It's more of NZXT's issue than Adler Lake.

I also decided to go with DDR4 instead of 5 on an Asus 690 board because of the shortage/not much bang for buck of DDR5.

Has anyone had any luck with AMD direct buy? I see old articles indicating Thursday drops with queueit. Curious if anyone has had success.
