Interesting but I doubt a single advisor recommends that anymore these days though. 60/40 is more common and based on studies.
    https://www.investopedia.com/articl...1815/buffetts-9010-asset-allocation-sound.asp
“According to Estrada’s research, the safest asset mix was actually 60% stocks and 40% bonds, which had a remarkable 0% failure rate. But a portion of stocks any lower than that actually increases your risk, since bonds don’t typically generate enough interest to support retirees who reach an advanced age.”

Actually with the bond market not doing so well lately and inflation higher even the 60/40 ratio is being revisited, with some recommending adding utilities (growth +dividends) instead of just treasuries and bonds. So that’s what I’m evaluating now but not just utilities, other solid dividend paying companies or funds less impacted by market drops.

None of that surprises me when you look at how returns are trending with various asset classes.

Blue chip dividend stocks are a strategy that can work. My granduncle died with an investment portfolio of around 400k in three stocks: AT+T, Dominion Energy, Duke Energy. Unlikely to fail and averaging around a 5% dividend annually. Between that, social security, and some strategic decumulation he was fine until the end of his days.

Man knew what he was doing, that’s the ticket. Been watching those stocks myself, have worked for a couple of them lol.

wen high class escorts with thongs that smell like a flower garden?

Edit: GF and I were discussing our move to WA in the spring and I have been thusly informed that no matter what the tacoma people might say, I am not getting high class escorts no matter how flowery they smell.

Ok so a year or two ago a cross country UHaul was around $3k to rent, plus gas costs. Now that same UHaul is almost $6k.

    Those prices are insane.

    Damn you, transitory inflation.

I am learning the hard way to stay away from low volume stocks.

PTON looked bullish in the flow, charts looked decent, and as soon as I entered it just slowly slid down.

gonna take the L on this one and see what's up. I should have held the $175 AAPL calls as it'll open at a 52 week high :bananadead:

    ROTH would be my suggestion.

Nope, I've only been out of school for 6 years and was an idiot for most of that time. I'm still an idiot but now I dump 50%+ into investing / retirement / saving.

Yes you’ll find it cheaper to drive to your destination and pay someone to fly there and drive it home or split the driving between two people someone drives it out someone flies out and drives it back. For three grand

still at ATH if the market opened rn, I bet there will be a slight sell off but it'll still rip. hot chains were frothing for APPL $170+

    F was a good call

PTON was a misread and I'm currently studying what I did wrong. Just not enough volume to make anything happen I believe.

Not sure I'll have time today or tomorrow to actively trade but I'm still scoping the hot chains when it opens for ideas
