Rubbing might not be as bad, if at all...based on that scenario, but the wheel/tire is still further outboard than factory.

As another example, here is my wheel/tire combo compared to stock:
    17x7.5 et20 vs 18x9 et0

Your thought on width for that scenario is correct, I don’t think the wheel width will be your contributing factor for rubbing. If anything a wider wheels tends to “shorten” a tire by spreading the sidewall out. Personally I’d go with 9” vs 7.5” (that’s what she said).

Leaving the golf course at dusk after a nice Friday afternoon slicing shots. Much smoother towing with the GX compared to my previously owned Tacoma.

I'm curious about this. You actually tow your own cart to the course? I've heard that most courses have fees for bringing your own. Just curious as I have a utility trailer similar to yours and could easily do this. Seems pretty appealing here in the PNW for the winter months where I could bring an enclosed cart with a heater during the colder months.

Yes, personal golf carts are allowed at one of the private golf courses in my town. Many of the residents who live on the golf course use their personal carts to play. It's quite a scene sometimes to see the various personal golf carts parked outside the clubhouse. No additional fees are charged.

On the other hand, personal carts are prohibited at the public golf course near me. I was told the restriction was due to insurance purposes.

Thanks! I used a dremel with a good size saw for plastic.

@captrussia253 did you cut the resonator off your exhaust? not sure if your gen GX has one there. My 2012 does. (I cut the tip off for below-bumper clearance, but left the rest of the resonator.)

If so, how does it sound?

Yes I cut it off. Sound didn’t change at all. Still sounds oem.

Wheel debacle continues for my 460.

Would OEM 2nd gen Tacoma TRD Sport wheels maybe work? 17x7.5, 30mm offset. Wondering if with the 285s they'd contact the UCAs or anything else...

Almost 100% positive they’ll contact the uca. It happens on tacos so it’ll surely happen on a gx. You’d end up need 1” or more spacers likely (which is 25.4mm therefore basically 0 offset at that point).

On the topic of wheels/tires, do the stock GX 470 wheels have 25mm offset? Looking at some winter tires but have to go to an 18" wheel to get them in a size that makes sense. Looks like they should work according to the willtheyfit webpage...
