RC4WD has snook some junk in on us for the holidays. With a little tweaking here and there I think it’d be a load of fun.

It looks significantly smaller than the scx24 towards the end of that video. Wondering how well these static model bodies would work?

the mst rmx 2.0 is a great chassis, great quality, and fairly simple build. I wish I had done the rmx first.

The picture in my previous post of the Frs is the MST FXX 2.0. LOTS of tuning options. The rmx has lots of tuning too, but more geared for beginners as it is a rear motor. The FXX is a front motor.

for sure, I came from AWD drift years and years ago, I don't mind the rear motor cars.

What wheels are on that FRS?

I still drift my tt01 awd skyline.... I'd like to get into a rwd setup but need to figure out how deep I want to go.... The yokomo looks so cool with all the bling and adjustable pieces.... The mst looks easy....

Problem I having is as much as my current rc sit on the shelf I've had trouble justifying anything else

Those are actually MST wheels. If I recall, -11in the rear, -5 in the front. They come in lots of colors. I get them for a decent price from asiatees.com MST tires as well.

I’ll have to go look, they’re at my shop.

The smt10 if I recall is running a hobbywing XR8 Sct plus esc with a hobbywing 4100kv sensored sct motor. Jconcepts tribute wheels and renegade tires. Aluminum upper and lower links, stainless steel screws all around, steel 160mm ultra scale drive boom racing shafts. Body is the jconcepts Ford F-250 body that I painted up myself.

the AE is an Rc10t2 with aluminum pan. Hobbywing Xerun Xr10 pro esc and some cheapy surpass brushless motor that I’m going to upgrade to a hobbywing at some point. Hpi 2.2 stadium wheels, jconcepts swaggers in front, pin downs in rear. Body is the jconcepts f150 ae t2 body that I also painted. Converted rear pin drive to 12mm hex. Front is still bearing style wheel.

Both run the same transmitter, fly sky gt3c, and fs-gr3e receiver.

both fun, the smt10 is crazy wheelie popper with the lower gears I installed from the wraith.

Thanks! The smt10 reminds me of the old tamiya clodbusters. There used to be a company, esp I think?, that made extended chassis for them. I couldn't tell which version the rc10t was. I almost bought a t6.2 a while back, but decided not to as my Tekno mt410 sits on the shelf unused most of the time. I need to get around to painting the body on it...

My smt10 is the builder kit. I bought it right after they released it for $199.

then losi dropped a bomb on the monster truck wold.

RC4wd tried to hit back and failed (IMO) with the lack-luster Carbon assault.

anyway, I’ll try and get some more pics. I’ve got car kits In Boxes that still building and another rc10t3, along with a few bashers and one-offs.

that Chevy race truck is based on a modified T3 with B3 suspension and a few other goodies.

    cheers!

Looking for some advice. Im a former R/C enthusiast having an original Team Associated RC/10 championship edition buggy and an Associated TC3, but have taken a long break. I want to get a crawler that my kids and i can putz around our yard with. I'm not willing to go ham yet since im not sure the kids will be into it, so looking for a good value kit (possibly R2R). Any ideas?

For an RTR crawler maybe an axial scx24?
    https://www.amainhobbies.com/axial-...i-crawler-green-axi90081t2/p-qqzztzeq7b2xactz

I don't recommend Traxxas. Their quality was decent 20 years ago, but electronic failures are common and kit quality has dropped over the years. They do have tons of aftermarket support and many local shops carry parts if that's what you're looking for.

I think many of the brands snapped up by Horizon Hobby took a step down in terms of quality.
