Nice! Wanted the V6 so it doesn’t suffer as much towing. IIRC they killed off the manual V6 combo base with the 3rd Gen. would be nice if you could get that and the utility package, but oh well wasn’t a deal breaker. Was going to do a rear seat delete, but actually had to use them the other day when we had to carry an extra passenger for an unexpected ride from the airport.

Need to get some Clazzio’s too…when I did my snow tires the other day, found myself not wanting to jump in getting the new seats dirty. Old truck didn’t give a shit, this truck trying to keep it nice as long as possible.

That is the one thing I don’t care for, mostly drive 2 lane highways. When someone is turning off to the right, even if they are off the main road it will slam on the brakes. Where normally if you time it right you don’t even have to touch the brakes.

It does concern me that someone may slam into the back of me. So now I just have to be aware to click it on coast when that happens.

Does anyone know if the brake lights come on when collision control brakes?

Think my SX sticker lasted two days, heat gun made short of that. Already pulled the black SX wheels too, tossed on SR5s for my snow tires. Which I kinda like the look a touch better. Thought maybe getting another set of SR5s for my summer tires. Or just keep the SXs for a slightly different look for part of the year. Also have a set of steelies, but didn’t want the extra weight since mpg takes a nose dive with winter tires already.

They do. They do if vehicle applies the brakes, they do not if it just throttles back to slow down.

Ok thanks! Wondered if it they did. Was worried about someone rear ending me when it does hit the brakes.

Pea fricken soup! That particular road goes past several ranches was waiting for a cow to be standing in the middle of the road.

They were good folks to deal with. Especially with me being from out of state...

Klamath River. I looked up some pics of Eel and would say awful good guess!

New truck is a huge upgrade from the 18 year old one. Apple car play is pretty cool, still think first gens are the best gens tho

Yeah it is! My 1st Gen is 22 years old, what I like about the 3rd is, it’s different but still feels like a Toyota. Most of the controls are all in the same place, felt at home instantly in it. Where I felt lost in the Chevy and Ford when I test drove them.

Had the same thought, 1st Gen is the Best Gen, that is fading the more I drive the new truck. Especially after I jump back in the 1st to take it for a spin. Keeping it for now, my wife wanted it.

Yes! it feels very similar to the old one! just has a nice screen and buttons on the steering wheel. And power windows and door locks now! We will see what my thoughts are on it in a year, only had it for two weeks now.
