    one of my best buds got a new frontier, put a shell on it, and has been camping wit his gf a lot this year... it's part of my motivation to get my Tacoma together. I wanna go camping and he wants to go wheeling

    funny enough thats the thing we both felt most compelling about it. It's an old platform that appeals to nostalgia and comes with reliability lol

    He was like "do you like 3rd gen tacomas more than the frontier?" and I said "I looked at a few and decided I couldn't buy one" and he was like "yeah, same"

    Ya they’re overbuilt and old school, nice for the price if that’s what you’re looking for.


    If I were more of a masochist, it would be fun to 4wd and sas mine. Probably would improve the turning radius :laughing:

    They can run Titan suspension and match the travel of a 1st gen Raptor right? Pretty cool if you ask me.

    He has asked me a few times for mod ideas but I've been hesitant to suggest anything til he gets more time in the driver's seat

    Ya, they just call it a titan swap.

    They share a lot of parts. Frames share frame rails and the m226 axle in mine is just a narrower version of the titan one, which is a d44 variant (but not compatible with most d44 parts)
