I said in another thread that the 2nd shingles shot I had a couple years ago kicked my ass pretty good compared to this.

 

I had 2nd shingles last week woth no issue. Shot #1 kicked my ass.

 

My brother got his 2 doses (before the 90 day wait after you get Covid). The reaction to his 2nd dose landed him at the heart hospital for a potential heart attack. Dumbass didn’t do his research and he’s loud and proud about being a nurse.

Our county (which administered vaccination sites at the time) would’ve walked away clean since my brother BS’ed the questionnaire right before receiving the first dose. One of the questions on there was “Have you tested positive in the last 90 days?”, to which he replied no.

 

I found out quickly when I first went to the field that there is a huge difference between the insulated FRs and the Arctic FRs. Hopefully they're shelling out for the Arctic rated stuff for situations like this. If Steel toes aren't mandatory in all locations I can hook you up with some bunny boots. I've had to vent mine to let my feet cool off at -60.

Im not as deathly ill as with my second pfizer but am sickly af on the couch with body aches. Hubby feels nothing from his but he didnt get sick with the last one either.

 

Drink water, cover up. Work the arm a little

 

Appreciate it, all my gear is rated well below zero(oil field crap), it just doesnt last the length of time I spend out on the long assed shifts. Even the -180 insulated baffin boots gave in after 12 hours and had to stand on my trusty puzzle mat piece.
Need all FR and safety toe. 1440# of pressure they arent even going to recover pieces of us so I dont get the mentality but whatever. They spare no expense with gear but some shit cant combat the idiocy we deal with.
