Hey guys, due to my little or Big paint chip episode I'm having. I am looking at getting a Hood Protector or whatever they are called for my truck to protect my hood and save my self from more of this Cringing over my paint chip. What would be the best one for my tacoma that will protect it the best and look the best?

I have the AVS Bug Deflector II on mine. I have had it for a couple of months now. Check out my gallery to see a pic of it.

AutoVentShade! Mine is in Chrome but it comes in smoke also. Five little plastic screws hold it on and it doesn't touch the paint. 5 minute install

This is the one i bought. 5 plastic screws fit into the factory holes. Looks to be as good a bet as there is and with what appears to be minimal (if any) potential for rubbing paint off.

Lots of dump trucks and gravel pits in my area so a 'bug'shield is great protection for the front of the truck and also helps with the windshield.

Bought mine for 54.99 and am getting $10 of it back with a mail in rebate.

Installed the EGR Aero series hood protector a month or so back. There are pics in my gallery...
Nice and low profile-Clean with no badges or anything...Easy to install (NO taping-BIG plus for me) Easy to remove to clean and fits with your color pretty well (I think)

    (Like 50 bucks...AutoAnything btw)

I also got this one and its looks great. Its low profile and easy to install. I was thinking about getting the chrome deflector but i already have the chrome westin bull bar and chrome KC slimlites. I figured i would be over doing the chrome thing.

What's the best place to buy a AVS BugDeflector for a good price around $50. I found 44.59 at BassProShops, but I haven't actually seen a photo of it on a tacoma, it's always on another vehicle, so I don't know if it's the right product
