I had a '17 TRD OR AC MT which we used for all our road trips. Over the 3 years that I owned it I started dealing with some back issues, which I assumed was due to me just getting old. Sold it about 15 months ago and bought a Golf R. In the last year and a bit of owning the Golf, my back issues disappeared, this I credited to all the physio and work I've done on my back. Picked up a 2021 TRD Sport MT earlier this month and on our first long trip my back/hamstring issues reappeared!!! So even though the new taco has the power seats it seems that the seating position is still not quite there for me. As posted on a bunch of the TW threads, the driver seat does not give the right leg support, and I think I've narrowed done my issue. Because I'm driving a 6MT I have to sit close enough to the pedals to fully engage the clutch. This forces my right leg (accelerator pedal) to be bent enough that the seat is not fully supporting the leg. On long trips where I'm in the truck for 5-8 hours a day, this turns into a pinched nerve in my lower back. So long story short, I ordered a set of seatjackers today! Hopefully this will save with the physio bills.

A bit of an update. I got in to see my Physio guy the other day and asked if a bad sitting position could be causing my issues. He came out to the truck with me and checked my sitting position. His opinion was that the combination of seat position and long hours behind the wheel are definitely the main cause of the back issues (apparently getting old factors into it as well). Fast forward to this week. I received my Seat Jackers and installed them. Immediately I was able to adjust to a more comfortable position. Wednesday Spent the whole day driving and no leg numbness and absolutely zero back pain or pinching. Just based on the 1 long day in the truck, I’d highly recommended the Seat Jackers. It still feels like seat bottom or foam cushion is a little too rounded front to back, so I might look at modifying the foam for a flatter sitting surface.

This post says 7075 aluminum, but the website for the front seat jackers says 6061 aluminum. Could you clarify what material these use?

Current stock of Tacoma Front Seat Jackers are 7075, after the holidays they will be 6061. In either case, the Class 10.9 bolt will shear before it pulls out 20mm of M10 1.5 threads.

    I'll update the main post.

Thank you for the order, we will get it shipped out today or worst case Friday.

Nice! Let us know if we can assist with anything.

Question for people with front and rear jackers, does the rear spacers make a big enough difference to justify the price? I feel like it defeats the purpose of the lifting the front

I like it because it returns the seat to the factory "attitude". That is, it does have a pulled back, astronaut in the capsule feel. Plus it gives full advantage to under seat storage

Did you install front and rear at the same time?

I ordered both. Then installed the front first. I figured I could sell of the rears if I decided against them
With just the fronts. I was uncomfortable. My knees were higher than my hips and I had to lean forward to be able to see well. Of course, I adjusted the seat back. But it felt like I was being folded in half. When I put the rear set in, I placed the spacers to lift the rear the same as the front. All was back to normal, just a tad higher. The tradeoff is, a little more head ducking when you get in, as your body is that much higher to clear the seat when you get into the vehicle. I do step on the running board first and don't just jump in. So, you may not notice that depending on how you enter the vehicle. Nothing really noticeable when sliding out.

    A few.
Just curious, do you also step on the running board when getting out or extend your leg past it?

I'm 5'7", and installed front and backs today. I wanted both leg support and lift, and thought that if I installed the lifts in the front, and all the spacers in the back, I would get lift only, and no extra leg support. So I tried the 2 larger spacers in the back and the 1/4 inch in the front on top of the front seat jacker. The bolts lined up and went in smoothly, and seemed to go in deep enough. This gave me both lift and leg support. I took it for an hour drive and it felt great. I haven't heard of this configuration before, so I'm ready for the dire warnings.;)
