    I am using stock bedrails.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Much appreciated.

I can probably dig through here and find the info. One sec.

Looks like you're milling it too? clean cut for sure.

EDIT: looks like 1.5 downward and about the same along the front. I'll confirm later today.

I just used my router table with a 1 1/4" straight bit to make that cut. To cut down to horizontal slots I was thinking table saw but the thought of kickback or binding with that long piece of aluminum has me thinking I need to come up with another idea.

Nice. that router table worked great I bet. Hmmm.. that kickback might be shitty for sure. unless you could come up a with a fixture for it and clamp it to some board or something?

@Kmac503 I built the switch plate using one of the extra flat plates left over from installing some USB and Cigarette Socket ports. I basically measured the needed rectangle (it's actually a bit bigger than I wanted) and used a Dremel to cut it out. Filed the edges then contact cement the switch to the back. Once that dried I used GOOP and put it round the switch and plate. I let that dry and then cut off the stiff rubber protective pieces around the wires at the switch (I should have done this first, then cement and GOOP the switch in). I then shoved the F'ing thing into the pillar hole. It took some finagling and pushing, but it fits very tight.

I wound up just running them through the table saw. Moved fence from one side of blade to the other for each side rail. Went really well. just had to focus on keeping top edge tight to the fence, fingers out of harm's way and the piece moving nice and slow.

Will put back on the Taco tomorrow. Thanks for your help!

@Taco-Surfer thanks for the reply! In the photo, it looks like its a different material than the other panels which is why I'd asking about 3D printing. But it must just be the light on the textured surface.

@Kmac503 I had to repaint it and used Rustoleum truck liner spray... trying to match the powder coat look...

Hi all, unfortunately my tacoma was in an accident and it might be a while before I replace it. Our install date is roughly scheduled to be the second week of January 2022.

    Its for a Gen3 tacoma 5ft bed

Color combo is black paint and tan fabric + the rear window
If anyone is looking for an earlier install date please let me know.

PRO TIP: For all y'all "selling" your spots... It's not allowed on here since you don't have a physical product to sell. This has come up in other threads.

Continuing on, if any of the early adopter ~$6500 price people are trying to get rid of your spot, it would be interesting to know if it would be able to still have you "purchase" it at your locked in price rather than transferring the spot/delivery date to someone else and having them pay a transfer fee AND the current ~$12,000 price...

Someone from SP said somewhere that any “spots” purchased automatically move to the current pricing plus the transfer fee, no grandfathering in from any previous pricing levels. This may have changed but it was the last I recall hearing.

That's what I'm thought experimenting with... If someone had a locked in early pricing, and I were looking to buy a "spot", I would try and convince them to fly in and finish the purchase, buy their flight and hotel and a nice meal to pay 50% of the current price...

I’d imagine the majority of preorder campers are installed at this point.

The light arrived yesterday, now charged up. Have you had an issue leaving it mounted while the camper is put away? Planning to attach the mount to the inside of the extrusion using VHB tape unless you have a better suggestion. I like that it came with 2 remotes. I'll mount one down below and one up top somewhere using velcro.
