Yea it wasn’t in me this year. Only went out 3 times.
Saw tracks I posted a while ago but then we got flooded.
    Didn’t see anything after that.
Maybe next year I’ll ramp up but this year I was preoccupied

It was worth every penny since my wife went with me. It was her first experience when we got one hunting together. The last couple of years my tags went unfilled. The only thing was when I shot this one...although it dropped on the spot, it took a bit for it to expire. Wife didn't like that too much.

we have a mennonite guy local that processes. we do our own including jerky and bologna, but sometimes take some to him after the season to get some deer bologna. its dang good.my son took a big deer to him this year. loins, some round steaks,8rolls of bologna and the rest burger with pork fat added. including skinning and all was $205 i think.

Is the jerky already made or just cut? I can take a big deer to our processor and have them skin it, gut it, slice the steaks, leave the backstraps whole and grind the rest in burger or sausage and it’s $95, add $5 for them to slice jerky and it’s all vacuum sealed.

The jerky will be made and vacuum sealed as will everything else. I had the guts out of it already.
I forgot how many pounds of different stuff I specified but will report back. The locker that's closest to me closed and there was talk of this fellow I went to wasn't going to do deer this season but he decided to, so I'm told.

Piebald deer are pretty rare, I’ve been hunting for 47 years and have never seen one.

I've never seen one either in 35+ years of hunting. My dad has a white one on the wall he killed in 1982 here in N.C. with a muzzle loader. It is solid white with no pink, the nose, hooves, ears, all white.

I've seen 1 while hunting in Bland County, VA probably 30 years ago. Nice buck, solid white except his neck and head were dark chocolate brown and he had a spot on his side about the size of a soccer ball that was the same color. Locals wouldn't shoot it, I would have if he had stood still! Bays Mountain Park has a piebald in their deer exhibit currently.
