    went for a ride on a Kawasaki KZ900 as a passenger on my 18th birthday. So glad the driver was a big dude I worked with. I only weighed about 120 lbs back then, and I felt like I was going to fly off the back of that bike. Used to watch the Houston Police Dept. scream up and down a section of highway 290 that was under construction. That was a dam fast motorcycle for its day.

    @Gritto. i learned to ride on dirt bikes in the woods behind my house, they weren't mine, friends and such, when i turned to the streets.. well the need for speed, was so intoxicating, we had a group of about 8 off us, that would leave from home (just south of baltimore) and head to WVA, once we were in country, well, it was like, we raced each other to the next town or whatever, re-group, pull out a map, and just go..again. we made a trip that took us to Summit Point Raceway in WVA. we arrived roun 1:00 pm, there was a WERA race weekend going on, and the dude at the gate just let us in..watched them boys on the track, and thought, damn, im quicker than that. i won a few trophys in open superbike (even though my stock 1000 had only a used drag pipe on it, and 14k miles) and took 2nd place 1st time out.then we built that lil 400 Honda, and raced it in the endurance series, that little bastard, would out brake everything on the track, well we got a little older and those damn gurls started demanding more of our time and $$ and the rest as they say...is history.... :pout:
