Posting this here and the trade thread...

Im currently installing aa OME kit on my 01. I found out the hard way that I need to disconnect the brake line to droop the axle enough to get the packs in. Im in a pickle with 2 problems...

#1: I can't get break the nut on the brake line up by the frame, and its already starting to round from trying. Does onion have any tips on getting this nut loose? Ive PB blasted it and it still wont budge.

#2: I would just throw everything back together and take it to a shop to have them install an extended line... but I had to cut the forward leaf bolt out to get the pack off, and its seized inside the eye. So my truck aint going anywhere.

Which leads me to my questions... Does anyone have one stock leaf pack I could borrow / have (lol) so I could drive this thing somewhere to get a new brake line installed? Or... Is anyone out there willing to come help me get this brake line removed so I can move forward with this install. (im in Broomfield)

do you have flare nut wrenches for the brake line or are you using a box wrench?

#3 are you sure it's a droop issue? I have an alcan pack with like 5" of lift and the factory brake line was sufficient for it at ride height and only became an issue with wheeling

Did you pull the clip on the brake line and pull the hard line out a bit? It's the nut on the back that spins. And yes, you need flare wrenches.

Also, I agree that you should be able to get those leafs in without removing it. You could try unbolting the bracket on the axle and bending the hard lines up a touch to get some more wiggle room.

I know you've got the snow tires on, but the stock 3rd gen wheels look so meh compared to the Rock Warriors.

The tires are 265/70/16 and this will be their last season to be replaced with 265/75/16.
Yes, they are not the best looking though I don't want to have snow buildup unbalancing the wheels due to the ring lips and what MgCh does.
