Thanks - ome 2884 / stock leaf with some deaver aals.
Probably settled at around 1.5-2 inch lift because the drawers are like 150lbs

    4runner trail 17" 265/70/17 no spacers

    thinking about doing 255/80/17 next?

Beautiful truck! I definitely love the 4runner wheels. That lift looks great. Glad to see the results I was looking for with the OME 884's.

Any other suspension upgrades? Upper control arms?

I have a 2012 and it already has a metal pipe. Do you know what year Toyota changed over to the metal pipe? Maybe for the 2.5 gen body style, 2012+?

Thanks! yea it’s a custom rack, mostly 8020, I cnc’d the corner brackets so I could angle the front and rear bars. The length is so that I could have a shell and can rack all in one becuase I couldn’t find anything long enough for a RC.

I installed some low pro rails on the shell top, the rack sits only about .75in off the shell top.

Thanks friend, yea 4Runner wheels were chosen because I prefer a “factory” look and the offset is perfect for no spacers flush look.

Just super bumps, u bolt flip. No control arms because it’s a low lift, alignment is spot on but might do jbas to improve caster angle as I do get some slight bump steer.

That I have no idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did change it for the 2.5 body. My mechanic said he did 3 changeovers the same week as he did mine, all 2nd gens with 180k+ miles.

    Ok,
We have a 15 & 07 both with 2TR’s. Where’s this coolant leak you’re taking about? Photos of the pipe would help!
    Thanks in advance…

Hey all, I'm about due to change out the fluid in my transmission. Last time I used Redline MT90 and just haven't been very happy with it. Really preferred the fluid Toyota put in it from factory. I can't seem to find a good source of Toyota gear oil, and nearest dealership is over 200 miles away. Suggestions?

ummm yeah, 195k on my 08......goes to look at line even tho no coolant loss. Thanks for heads up. I have flushnfill kit on my heater hose so it's simple to flush, drain and refill with fresh juice.

2011 MT, when shifting during a WOT acceleration, has anyone else experienced a complete loss of power?

From 1st to 2nd (or occasionally 2nd to 3rd), at about 5,000 rpm, obviously letting off throttle to shift, once into 2nd and back on the throttle, the engine doesn't even attempt to accelerate and its like the computer has cut all power.

This isn't a hard shift, its a regular shift, just with more acceleration and spirit. The truck does not like it for some reason. No odd sounds, lights, loss of traction or anything breaking. It just cuts power.

Sounds like you're bangin redline and hitting fuel cut. My 2020 Tacoma did it (auto) and my current 2010 5mt does it. It's normal.

No, not redline. But the feeling is the same. Power just cuts out after the shift. If it were redline, then power would cut out before the shift.

I've had that happen to my 2010 as well. Hit redline, shifted to 2nd, and there was no power initially. Sent me through the dash lol.

Really, if there isn't any CELs or any issues otherwise, I wouldn't worry. It's Toyotas safeguard for the engine. Are you hooning the truck or something?

    It isn't redline...

It is obnoxious when trying to get up to 60mph on a busy road and your vehicle stops accelerating. Little engine, big tires, need to accelerate fast... Sometimes there really isn't any way to avoid high rpm shifts in our little trucks. I'm not worried that something is wrong, I am wondering if other people are experiencing the same thing and how they avoid triggering the nanny computer interventions.

Alright fair, yes you're not redlining. But I am saying that I have experienced this by hitting redline and I've experienced power loss. I guess that's all I'm trying to say. Now, you're not redlining the truck and I acknowledge that but you're high in the RPMs. It could still be the same fuel cut, I don't know. But this sounds exactly like fuel cut when hitting redline. Toyotas don't bounce off redline, they just shut down. At least in my experience. Sorry had to clarify what I was trying to say.

It does suck that we have to wrap these trucks out to get up to speed. This truck has taught me to slow down and allow more room to merge. I try and not go over 4500 anymore, 4000 if I have to go up an incline. I'm only on 31's.
