    I am looking to do something very similar to your front-shelf idea so we can throw our stuff up onto the shelf when it is time to sleep. If you get a minute, could you shoot a pic of the underside so I can see how you mounted it / the type of brackets?

    Are those red brackets custom or did you buy them somewhere? I have been hunting for something like that with a thumbwheel for tool-less removal if needed but haven't been able to find anything.

    This is my setup. It’s simple and limits the loss of storage like most platforms. I can build and tear down in a couple minutes. If it rains, I just sit under my Rhino Rack batwing.

    4 2x8 the width of the bed
    1 sheet of wood to match the width of the bed cut in half
