Agreed on it being apples to oranges, but, when the title of the video is that the new Tundra is a Raptor fighter...

Just pointing out and agreeing that lesser trucks will outperform it off-road, let alone more expensive ones.

My buddy and I test drove one last night: MSRP 47K - an SR5 2WD (?) "TRD Offroad". One "good" thing: they had a 1,500 "market adjustment" in the guise of paint protection and VIN etching. At least you got "something." Manual driver's seat. I think they borrowed a page from the Tacoma playbook. Power driver's seat will likely be standard in the base SR5 trim in 2025.

My father has a 2020 V8 Tundra, and damn the one in the video seems huge! maybe its just him, but i swear that thing looks like its 15% bigger overall.
I think the least favorite thing about the truck is the funky rear wheel panels into the wheel well. Not a big fan of how they stick out like that. I also am not huge on the badging everywhere. seems a bit excessive.

And damn if that v6 aint grunty! im surprised to hear that coming out of it. i think its going to be a great pavement princess, :rofl:overall i quite like it!

It’s a Toyota truck. Still keep up with the times more the Nissan. Still behind most all other brands in tech and comfort, mpg, etc, but it works

and going to be another 15 years before you see a fourth gen.

TFL already has a video of it beating a Raptor. Not sure what distance they were going. Full size trucks suck for the kind of offroading I do, but put a Tacoma and a Tundra on a Baja 500 racing type course and it's different story. All kinds of different offroading.

People will be leaning over and popping that end gate open in traffic  More black plastic is what these trucks need so lets make "camo black" and add even more - sheesh

You realize that was what pretty much everyone on Tacomaworld said about the 3rd gen Tacoma when it was released, right?

Personally I love it. If you think the 2nd gen tundra looks better... give it 3 years to warm up to it...

If it has more payload than my Tacoma did, unlike my current Tundra, I'll take a look. But looks are low on my list. Doesn't look like payload is a huge improvement tho.

For sure the functionality is more important… but goddamn :bananadead: lol. Also in regards to your comment on the 3rd gen taco front end, I’m still not a fan but it has grown on me a little bit. I’m sure with a few mods the new tundra would look better as well.

I like the looks of the new tundra, I think it'll lend itself well to the mid section winch bumper like the 4runners have.
