Ok. So the heat is on the red side all the way but the fan part is off so why is hot air still coming out of the round hole?

Been asked a hundred times. The HVAC intake on these trucks is up front under the windshield. Driving down the road forces air into the vents and into the cab. Turn the recirculate mode on if it bothers you.

Quicksand with hood protector, color matching decals on tailgate latch, mudflaps, glovebox, and tailgate hitch cover.
Turn the temp control to the center or the top of the knob. This is what I call "climate control", meaning that in the middle, with the knob for which outlets pointing towards the floor only, that keeps the interior temp at a comfortable level. If it is slightly too hot, then turn the temp knob more towards the left, and vice versa. The fan only forces the air to blow out more than what is coming out because of road speed.

Unless u r like my wife and need the fan on at least 3 regardless of temp/comfort level, its a nice feature. Nice to leave fan off yet still have fresh/warm air intake.

And, in case you didnt know (per the mrs), vehicle heat is only on when selector knob is full red...gave up on that talk a long time ago.

Turn on recirculate, the top button to the right of the fan speed control. It'll close the vent door to the heater box.

@tractorfarmer123 you're looking for this thingy. This is a rando google images photo, but the icon will be the same. Should be between your temp dial and mode dial.
