I bought the front coilovers from liftkits4less and they said they submitted the order to the manufacturer. They don't have an eta at the moment. Has anyone ordered the shocks recently? How long was your wait?

I'm guessing with KING on a 30-40 week back order might be a little while. Worth it though!

they haven't caught up, and supply chain does the rest. Down South said King has a 7-8 month wait. I hope you do better, but be prepared to wait.

Why not look for a set of 2.0 extended travel used or new? You would have a better chance of getting them earlier because it sounds like your really excited to start working on the truck. Their was a guy not to long ago on Tacoma world that bought new 3.0's and wasn't happy with them since they make a lot of loud "clicking" sounds due to the internal bypass's. I don't know what your plan is for your build just trying to offer some better options.

Well, I already have the rears that I bought used for a really good price. I figured I'd stick with the 3.0s. Any kings that people buy new are going to have that kind of wait. Thanks for the advice, but I think I'll stick with what I'm getting! Plus, what's another year?

Try Toytec. Ordered it two weeks ago and got it a week ago. Love their coil-over shock with reservoir.

hummm some one doesn't beat their truck hard enough.

Nice choice. I wish I would have started with 3.0's then just played with valving. I installed Icon s2 2.5 bypasses after re-valving my 2.5 ion coil overs (0.018" shims) and was not satisfied with how they worked over bigger stuff (woops, drop offs). I'm running camburg uniball upper and lower arms with marlin crawler sub frame gussets . I'm guessing I will have to upgrade to the tundra rack soon b/c that's the weak link now.

with the 3.0's you also don't have to deal with install that secondary shock hoop and welding new lower control arm tabs.

I'll have to call them. They don't list the 3.0s on their site. But if they do have the front I'll get a refund and order from them! Thanks!

I plan on doing a lot of off roading. I actually rolled my last tacoma( 2004 offroad dc 5spd). I had kings with that truck and I never had an issue with them. Also, when I was in the cali area, they were in Barstow once a week and tuned the shocks for free! They may seem over priced, but you do get your money's worth with them. Matter of fact, I took the shocks off of them at the impound lot and was able to sell them and get a good chunk of my money back!

that sound like a great benefit to have free tuning on-site.
What did their tuning involve in terms of labor and parts? How long did it take them to remove shocks, tune and install?

I don’t think Kings are over priced, I’m just amazed they offer this tuning service for free when shops are charging around $500 for this service.
