I ended up prying out the bulky black plastic piece that clips behind the front bumper and rests next to the front fenders. (It's about 5-6 inches long and it's the piece that the side headlight bulb goes through on one end and on the other end there's a red push pin that helps it stay seated to the front fender. (I pulled back on the fender flare to see where it was supposed to line up.) Then the lower portions of the fender flares didn't appear to sit flush, but a quick hand slap seemed to set the clips in place. Then the fender flare bolt and clip secured it completely after tightening those down.

Not the best picture, but I'll post some better ones later. :bananadead: I think the chrome grill needs to be changed out next...

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Glad you got it set. I had problems with too much gap and found out theres a little play in the bolt hole that holds the big clip and light in place. Just had to push it up when tightening the bolt and it fixed the gap. Having a blacked out grill and trim completely changes the look of the truck for the better IMO. Lights look great. :hattip:

Unsure as I’ve not disconnected it before. I have changed some of my habits since I started watching the Eco screen Decent amount of highway intestate driving offset by plenty of mountain running though.

He runs a usb cable from his carlink adapter to his head unit for wireless car play. It’s a good way to keep the adapter hidden yet still accessible.

Thanks dude! Not sure why they look like that in the pic, they're actually EXTREMELY bright and white, especially at night. They're the Diode Dynamics LEDs I'd put in a year or so ago...

Yea I'd seen a handful for that left console area, and actually thats where I'd started with mine with something similar that I'd 3D printed. After a week though I got over it and wanted it overhead!

I wish it came in a color other than black but I do like the case though. Super solid on that mount. I got the attachment that turns it into kickstand so it’s functional at least.

You know what they say, a day late and a dollar short. Here are the pictures of the inside main harness grommet. I’ll take another picture of my engine bay side tomorrow  that will show the loom I ran in the pictures below and it’s proximity to the main harness.

Follow along, get your bearings and pull the carpet flap back from the main harness coming through the firewall- you legit can’t miss it.
    F9C3B73F-77E7-4C3C-A8B0-3226273E950F.jpg

Main harness is in the center of the grommet so what you see in the pictures I’m almost certain goes around the full perimeter. Main harness is also electrical taped to the grommet. The x’s represents the ridges I have been talking about, 1 of the ridges pictured is occupied by my front camera harness/loom. You can also see the buffer/space you have between the main harness and the would be access points/ridges to run your own wire/harness. That’s 5 ridges on the most accessible side of this grommet but like I said the ridges likely go around the whole grommet. So 5 ridges for multiple harness runs and the result is a clean/factory like install. (This is the location port/dealer installed accessories will run through)
    8AE31DC9-9910-4223-ABD1-D78CB0EB5952.jpg

And this is the same location with the top carpet flap pulled back to show where the cable enters through the grommet which is closer to the main harness than the ridges I’m telling everyone to use
    6998A049-B1D0-4496-B668-CECC5DE6D56E.jpg

Tips: make your hole from the inside first, use flush cuts or similar to make a small slit in the ridge of choice (where my X marks the spot), stuff a screw driver or something through the hole to poke through to the engine bay and fish. Make your cut small, it’s rubber and will form around the loomed harness your fishing otherwise too big of a hole would definitely need silicone to seal
    :hattip:
Original post that sparked my intervention above. Nothing against op by any means but knowledge is power and here’s my gift to you all  I have mentioned and will again, op and his tutorial skills are nice and detailed and it would be nice to have more like this throughout the forums but…
PSA: don’t follow the “easy way” please

I didn’t. I ripped the old one out and had enough wire to hook it up. I recall I removed something to get the plastic nut in place but it really didn’t need it.

I’m thinking of getting the mini2 and have it ran to the rear hatch of the rsi canopy. How long or far do you think the stock usb will take you and is it just standard usb plugs
I’ve seen a obd relocation/dummy kit that maybe of interest if one was worried of getting unplugged
make Sure the 3 tabs are engaged and the plastic isn’t broke where the headlight bolt goes. I have new guide clips (if you need the pt# remind me tomorrow) that I still need to replace to fix the damaged piece. I had to use a washer for the bolt to somewhat stay in place. The dealer installed new/warranty lights and left me with this.

I realized after reading through the 3rd Gen Halogen vs LED vs HID bulb thread and that by installing the largest, brightest, amber colored fog lamps, I was clearly doing a whole lot of compensating!

For those wondering, the DD SS3 Max amber fog lamps are going to be installed into the ARB Summit bumper in a few days…
