Starting to speed up the process on bringing the 04 back. Especially with the no hot start issue on the 99.

Drove it for the first time in almost a month down the block and heard a new speed dependent squealing from under the truck. I’ve drained and filled the transmission and had the transfer case/tcase adapter apart so who even knows at this point. Proud of myself for turning around and just parking it for the night. Better than stressing myself out scrambling around in the garage until 3am.

I lived in Seattle for 6 years before spending the last 8 in SF. They are basically the same place but one has shitty weather.

I'm actually heading to WA today to spend a few weeks with my wife's family. Any one know any good snow wheeling spots around Puyallup?

I grew up in California and you either learn to drive countering all the aggressive and dumb assholes or you don't. Plus if you never have to drive up a Mt to ski or snowboard you never learn winter driving skills. There are plenty winding roads to learn good speed skills. Some people are just bad drivers and it doesn't matter what state you live in. I drove through Oregon once and immediately hated it. Slow and dumb drivers is all I came across.

Oregon is filled with people who don't even know their way to work, it's amazing.

Nice! Yea it's really pretty up there, the missus used to work at crystal.

I've never tried it in the snow but I like to take FS road 72. If you get on 70 and go to the "parking lot" (it's paved up until that area) and continue up 70 past the outhouse it turns into a real dirt road. The lot looks like this

    Document.jpg

Maybe a mile past the start of actual dirt is the turn off for 72. Screenshot_20211210-080746_Maps.jpg

Ya know, now that I think about, Idk if that's the best route if you're going solo lol. You could post in the regional forum to see if you could tag along with groups that might be doing a pyramid creek sno-park run, but I've never gone with any of those guys cause I don't think I'd get along with them.

I'd offer to do a run with ya but my bald ass 31s and worn out steering don't really like the snow:laughing:
