My hospital did a 2% adjustment outside of normal annual reviews (which are capped at 2%).

Healthcare is secure, but unless you are a surgeon the payscales are bullshit.

Good thing I only work part time and our combined investment and rental income exceeds my wage earnings.

How awesome is it that we consider barely keeping pace with inflation to be a large success?

This is why even techies switch jobs every couple years, because a large jolt of +20% over your last job beats the shit out of +2.5% per year (if you're "lucky".)

We're literally fighting for scraps while oligarchs get obscenely richer.

 

I received a 3% cost of living raise.... still red just like my portfolio.

Anyway, hope my 12/17 calls for ASO decide to turn around. They had a great earnings report. Idk what is happening.

 

They opened up nicely. Lol

 

This is why my first priority upon starting my career was to use the gainful earnings to change over to earning income the way oligarchs do it - with asset ownership.
